Mine is a 2000 Eclipse GT Fed Spec and the only issue I had with my car was the sunroof which the dealership fixed for me but this was when the car just came out. I'm at 75xxx right now and I haven't had any problems with it. Well, I think one of my motor mounts are torn but I haven't had time to inspect which one.

Put it like this man. If your girlfriend/ wife did'nt take take care of her face for 5-6 years would she still look good? Mileage is only half the story. Have a mechanic check it out if you really want one. 100,000 mile mark is typically a mark when a good amount of componets MAY need to be replaced. The questions you need to ask is what problems should you look for ie,

1. When was the timing belt changed?
2. Are there any aftermarket parts?
3. How often is oil changed?
4. Has it been in an accident?

Well my experience when I set to buy my this car was that everytime I mentioned the eclipse the salesman even other people there to buy a car seemed to have a beef with Mitsubishi. Most of them tried to push me towards the Type-S or GTi they had on the lot. Not to mention the list of problems they could come up with about they eclipse but miraculously failed to mention even one of the problems of any of the other cars they had. I guess it didnt help that the next comparable car was 4k more than the eclipse and I wouldnt have had to finance it the eclipse.
