the BEST thing you can do is to go into the local hobby shop, and find out what brands they carry.
those are the brands to pay attention to. because it sucks needing to order parts online and wait every time you break something--if your anything like me, the car will get broken 1 out of 10 runs--and this has nothing to do with the car having poor durability, just that i push my stuff hard, and sometimes get to close to parked cars, slide into curbs too fast, flip over obstacles, people that get in the way, etc..
the last thing you should be looking for is the body--the car body is really easy to change, and if you have the space it's easy to paint yourself. all popular r/c cars comply to well-set standards for sizes, so nearly any model you pick will have a ton of bodies to choose from.
