I am looking into in buying one for myself, they seem like a blast to do with your buddies. Some people bring them to meets and stuff around here and do some parking garage RC drift action, very fun to watch.

Anybody here have one? If so, what kind?

WTF!! Now I want one three. Sweet find. I was loving the fact you can't tell they are real until you see the giant tires and people. Going to search for one right now. I'm sure my wife will hate you for showing me a new hobby :agreed:

i used to run one of these. i made the tires out of PVC pipe, for extreme drifting action. i even had an old Xmod that i made drift like a champ (i was big into RC's about 10 years ago.)

but why is this in the moped/snowsled section?

Its cost me around $260 for the RTR Sprint2Drift car with the new camaro body and the charger and battery pack. Then i found a site where they have all the accessories like headlights n all different type of bodies, n so i spent around $30 i think for the EvoX body(non-painted, they have an option were u can spend another $30 for them to paint it for you). Surprisingly I bought it at a hobby store by my house(I would have never guessed that had that kinnda stuff there) And talked to the guy behind the counter cause he knew alot about them. I LOVE IT, so funn!!!:yesway::yesway:

I have a few. right now im working on a supercharged 4 stroke drift car. RBI innovations has superchargers and nitrous kits for these. Also i have the D box which is kinda cool, its traction control for the rc that automatically corrects after a certain angle which is settable.. the only problem is that the superchargers dont work on 2 strokes for obvious reasons, and almost all car engines are 2 stroke. so im tapping an airplane 4 stroke .30 :ndance: trying like hell to find a 3 g shell.

trying like hell to find a 3 g shell.
good luck!! they have become very rare. (in case your interested, they are HPI part # 7451)

i bought the last 2 i could find on ebay a while back.. i can't bring myself to install them on anything though.. i'm not very easy on my rc cars.. my last body died in a rocket-motor fire, and the one before that died doing(attempting) backflips in a skate park..

maybe i'll build a drift car for better use it..

the BEST thing you can do is to go into the local hobby shop, and find out what brands they carry.

those are the brands to pay attention to. because it sucks needing to order parts online and wait every time you break something--if your anything like me, the car will get broken 1 out of 10 runs--and this has nothing to do with the car having poor durability, just that i push my stuff hard, and sometimes get to close to parked cars, slide into curbs too fast, flip over obstacles, people that get in the way, etc..

the last thing you should be looking for is the body--the car body is really easy to change, and if you have the space it's easy to paint yourself. all popular r/c cars comply to well-set standards for sizes, so nearly any model you pick will have a ton of bodies to choose from.
