can anyone tell me how to:
A: _Non-destructivley_ Get the vents out to paint them.
B: How to paint them/ what paint to use.
C: How to get them back without dammage to them :).

thank you.

You pop it out using a flat head screw driver. you paint it with G2 plastic paint (found on ebay )
Any spray paint works but this is the most effective.

After it dries just pop it back in.

i don't think it's necessary to spend the money on G2. i just got some rustoleum plastic paint from home depot. stuff looks great. i've had it on for about 4 months now, and it looks just as good as it did when i put it on. but other than that, you just pop 'em out and then push 'em back in. it's really easy. you should wrap the head of your screwdriver in something to make sure you don't chip the paint on your car. i just used a rag.

I had mine spray painted for a while untill i cut them out and put in some grill vents.

I didnt take them out. I took couple sheets of paper, cut out like a half circle on one side, and slide the paper under the vents. Than you can spray them, and nothing is gonna get on your bumper.

An easy way to get them out though would be by taking out your headlights. Than you can reach right behind teh fake vents, and pop them out.

Like he said, just reach up from under the front bumper. I just used Rustoleum flat black and a couple coats of clearcoat. They look good as new, and hopefully won't fade out again.

well lets give him the benefit of doubt and say he meant "If my whole car burns to shit will the vents also?" To clearify, this mod will not make them fireproof. They will burn with the rest of the car. Also, painting them will not make them spontaneously combust.

i didnt pop my vents out. i just got blue masking tape and masker around the vents and got the tape behind the vents so i dont spray the car at all and then i used flat black automotive spray paint (3 coats, sprayed once let it dry spray a coat again ext...) and thay came out perfect. i didnt get any paint on my car and it didnt even take that long to do. in my opinion if you give them a clear coat or use a glossy paint it will look like crap. if you use a flat black paint it will look like thay are new and from factory. ill post up a pic or two in a lil while after i go take a couple of pics. :)
