So i started....Now its done for the most part...
So i started last night mainly focusing on the studs and fitment issues we're all expecting. I did most of this as a fitment test because i still gotta find a few more bolts and a solution to the power steering bracket. It wasnt too bad getting the studs out. Except the one behind the power steering bracket. At 77mm my extended replacement totally wont fit so im thinking about cutting out a section so i have enough space to maneuver the spacer and the manifold in an out when needed.
For those that are curious i used stock evo lower pipe and it fits pretty good. I think it could be better but i think that falls on the FMIC placement. Oh yeah i had to cut into the fender some more also. And of course paint it cuz i hate the attention for shiny parts.
Next... even with a one 1" spacer the compressor was still touching the starter. So... I clocked it! Ill figure out somethin with the actuator or stock up on dremol grinding pieces! Yeah along with that. The bleed screw on the slave cylinder gets in the way of any intake piping i wanna use. Man ya gotta love this shit.
So on the exhaust stuff. First of my O2 is about less that an inch from the lower AC line. That ones a pain in the ass. Nor will it bend easily. For sure going to the muffler shop for that BS.
Second, The stock evo DP fits and leaves space for a cat or test pipe. I got my hands on an Ulimate Racing 3" DP that angles differently so it rubs up against the oil pan. Plus its sits a bit longer. So i figured get the car running with the stock DP and then take it to a shop and get the 3" modded.
PS no its not hanging by the O2 sensor
So tonight i think ill wire up the Greddy TT and maybe install the rail and injectors.
Comments, Suggestions welcome of course
TBC!...... :ugh2:
