I have 20% on the R/T all the way around. Personaly I think it works best as I can still see out the rear and sides at night. But its dark enough to make them look totaly black at night.

The Trans Am, well its 5% all the way. You can't see jack shit either way. It hardly ever has the windows up so It doesn't matter. Its just for street appeal.

Remember the more light you block with the windows in the rear, the darker it will make your front tint look. So 5% in rear and 20$ on the sides will look darker than 20$ all the way around. Still allowing you good visablility on the sides.

i have limo on both of our cars and i love it, you just have to get used to the dark tint when backing up at night
My problem is with the Trans Am on the highway at night. I can't see traffic well enough. Kinda scary when passing.

why do people like having such dark tinted windows? i never understood that. youre only asking for trouble from police. im not one for window tint, i prefer crystal clear windows, but if i did i'd go ~35% all around. i dont like the darker in back, lighter in front thing.

I just got my windows tinted about a week ago. I went with 5% on the back 3 and 15% on the side doors. It looks bad as hell. Really makes the car stand out more ecspecially my black rims. Got some black titanium projectors hopefully coming by the end of this week. Should look sweet.:twothumb:

Even 35% in the front in Cali is illegal, the most we can have is 70%, which is nothing. I just wanted to be able to see at night.
I have 20% in the front and 15% in the back and I pulled up to a patrol car and it had two cops in it. I looked to my left while the light was red and the passenger cop looked right at me, smiled at shook his finger :nono: *no ticket though*

IMO Limo tint all the way around is the way to go. I don't give a shit about the cops. Legal in WI i believe is 35% up front. Not sure since I don't care. My thought is...."I paid for my car so I will do what the hell I want with it" Plus don't give them a reason to pull you over either...that helps  For 7 years I had LIMO tint and never got harrassed but once by a state trooper last year. Went to court and I won. So fuck em!:fawk:

I too have been sitting at a red light right next to cops, which are super anal in foster city, and they didn't say anything, but I only have 35% in the front.

Mine is a Dark Blue tint on all window except the front. Not sure of the % though. The good thing is that the window tends to blend with my car's color. I got a similar experience when I was driving in downtown LA, a cop pull beside me during the Red light and wave a No sign:nono:. They might be i a good mood so no ticket for me either. After that, everytime a cop near me, I open both window all the way down. But hey, cops have more other important issues in LA rather than looking at tinted windows.

I do this daily. Whenever see cops nearby, I usually roll them down until they're out of site, that's, if I'm actually driving this car.

My thoughts, :fawk: them.

The argument is its a safety thing for them to see in the drivers window when they walk up to your car. I think thats BS. If it was safety, it wouldn't be different in all states. Does that mean some states care about safety and some dont for law enforcment? Secondly, let's assume I'm a SUV. What about everyone else in the back of the car? They're a danger because you cant see them.

Stupid law, serves no real purpose.
