Too much money?!

Seeing as how I'm in an area that doesn't really offer many racing specialty shops.. I checked at this place that restores muscle cars... and checked to see how much it would cost to get a Diamante Intake Manifold, Throttle Body and a brand of headers installed.

The price was alot steeper than I thought it would be ... yet it wasn't that bad.
Basically what I want to know...is how much would something like this run? The installation that is.

if you take some time and read up you can do this all your self. i know at the junkyard in syracuse they have a couple 3.5 intake manifolds.

diamante swap is a piece of cake. The plenum should run you $70 from a junk yard, roughly $40 for the TB. You'd be damned lucky to find a set of aftermarket headers in a junk yard.

I can't for the life of me...find an Intake Plenum at my local junkyards...and if I do find a Diamante engine...they aren't willing to break it down.

removing the throttle body is not that difficult
headers just unbolt

what is there to really break down

BTW: Greg at DTM is a great guy, I am in the process of hooking up with him to do my suspension.
