well as you can see i have more then enough tools to do anything to this car that i will possibly ever have to. My family has been around racing forever, so we have built up quite a tool collection. My dad bought this car for me when i graduated H.S. and he just had to buy me an automatic...:bash: ... i told him i wanted the RS because i dont like sunroofs and i like the way 4 cyl. engines sound. but he just had to buy an automatic. i really like the color of the car but i am going to trade it in soon for a 5 spd. it is a 2004 that we bought brand new. i guess nobody ever bought it so the price got dropped alot and it came from my dad's g/f's car lot so we got a pretty good deal. it would be perfect if it wasnt an automatic. the thing only has 10k miles on it. but yes here are some pics.

this is just the car.

and this is the car and my g/f.

By the way, nice ride. You said you were going to trade up for a manual soon...what plans do you have for it? (agree with others - hope that hood isnt sctratched up for the trade-in)

Well the paint is in perfect condition. Her belt didn't scratch it at all. me and her are really close so i thought it would make sense that my 2 babies took 1 picture together. once i get the 5 spd i plan on upgrading alot it just depends on my budget really. my dad is buying the rims for my car, because he skipped my 18th birthday (the most important one imo) they are like $1500 racing rims and they look good. i am also wrapping the rims with a set of 2 inch profile white letter Pirelli's. i also plan on getting a nice looking c/f hood. i already have the cold air intake that i want picked out. i will turbo it later but that will be a while seeing as that can be expensive. i mainly just want to outrun this kid that lives in my neighborhood right now. he has an Acura Integra with some pretty good mods but he couldnt drive it to save his life. he is lucky that the car makes up for his stupidity. i want to put body kits on it and lower it just because i love the way the Vader V.6 body kits look. but yeah i have some other mods in mind but i am still looking for the parts to use for them...like header choice and other stuff... if any of you know of a good set of headers feel free to post a link or something... Thnx alot

p.s. my main goal really is to have over 600hp out of a street legal 4 banger...i believe i can do it.

well it seems as if some of you think i am crazy for liking the 4 cyl. engines. it is just something i have always liked sorry if that bothers you. but that is how i am. dont get me wrong the 6 cyl. are great but i would not own one unless it was in a 350z, G35, 3000gt, supra, or NSX, if it is anything else then i wont worry about it. like i said earlier my family has been around racing for absolutely ever. i have raced go karts and drag cars and my dad has raced sprint cars and my grandpa used to race dirt bikes, and his dad raced alot of dirt track racing. and ever since i could remember i have always wanted to have one of the worlds fastest street legal 4 cyl. cars. my dad has tried to convert me to the american muscle 8 cyl. cars but the look on someone's face when you roll up next to their V-8 in your little I-4 and then you stomp them is priceless. i have seen this happen on many occasions and i think it is hillarious:lmfao: . but either way i guess it comes down to personal preference. i like both the 4 and 6 cyl. eclipses i just like the 4 cyls more.

oh, but surely you would buy the 4cyl model if those cars offered it right?

good luck in your 600hp 4cyl street 3g

At least we get better gas mileage and it takes only regular, not premium! :fawk2: And so what if he doesn't like sunroofs? I have a friend like that too.

RS/GS FTW!

Chic with a studded belt across hood is :ugh: Only comment I'll make is ... should have gotten a manual. :agreed: Good luck with the modding! Turbo all the way for real power from the I4.

Good luck on that.
i am not kidding you, i seen it with my own eyes out here near my house. this modded out commaro was beating everyone. it had beaten a V-8 stang, narrowly beat a corvette, and practically toyed around against a few 4 cyls. but then a lovely little talon dropped in and challenged this commaro. the commaro driver laughed at him and said sure. when the 2 cars took off the commaro pulled out in front a little but then the talon passed him and never looked back. dont believe me if you dont want to but i seen this with my own eyes and that is all the proof that i need.

and my g/f's belt didn't scratch the paint the studs dont run all the way around. and with the way the belt goes through the buckle there was no metal actually touching the car so it was all ok. believe me i made sure her belt wouldn't scratch my car...

and to the person who said good luck with the 600 hp. 4 cyl.. were you being sarcastic or were you actually wishing me luck. cause it seems to me that a few ppl here think i have lost my mind.

but you are all still the best group of ppl i could have possibly ran across.

nice ride, good luck on the mods. If you are looking for a good set of headers check out dc sports they make a good header for the 2.4
check out this website http://www.dcsports.com/product_headers_app.asp
you will have to select the make and model and it'll come up for ya

thnx that was actually the one i was kinda looking at. it gets rid of the cat. converter so where i live (tennessee) it wont really be street legal but i dont live in a big city or anything so i dont have to have my car inspected so it should be fine. but thnx again.

you don't have to prove anything to us about cars beating other cars, i'm sure we've all heard/seen some wild shit. And no one here thinks your crazy. just follow through, if you say you can make a 600hp 3g, then somehow do it. experiment, do what you need to do, etc. We have too many kids that come on here and talk their asses off and never do anything they say they'll do. It's hard not be on the lookout for that after you see it over and over again.

oh it's cool i understand completely. it is just that the only other forum i have ever joined was for an online game i play and you have to be very defensive there and i have been there for almost a year so it is mainly habbit. but yeah i understand. and once i trade in this automatic for a manual then i am going to be spending alot of time with my car. so dont be surprised if i am on here alot asking for advice.lol.... i still think i stumbled across the best group of ppl i could have possibly found for the 3g eclipse. you ppl are great...:twothumb:
