What seems odd to me is that you think someone would buy a car just to burn it to the ground within 1 month. :scratch: That doesn't seem like a smart thing to do... I would think it would be common practice for thieves to burn the car after they stripped it. No need to leave any DNA/hair or fingerprints behind.

I agree it does sound fishy about asking about it being burned, then finding it burned. However, it sounds like a way to get out of paying for a car you maybe realized you couldn't afford. Don't know what happened, but better believe insurance will.

Another question, the insurance company will only pay blue book on the car right? Not whats owed on the loan? Therefore anything above the blue book, and intrest on the loan you will still be held accountable for?

Correct, which is exactly why I thought that it would be retarded to burn in himself. LOL! He would get the blue book value from insurance and then still be left with his normal payments. It would make no sense to me.

Damn man. That sucks. Hopefully the insurance works out. I made sure and got gap insurance when I bought my truck... although my truck also has an insane alarm, lol.

Keep us updated... I know this might sound harsh, but hopefully somebody can learn from the your loss.

Hope everything works out.
