took out my a/c today, put a new belt on and i dropped the oil pan to tap it. does anyone know what line is the vacuum line i should T into to run to my WG. theres to tht go from the TB to my intake manifold. not sure which one to use.

Does your turbo's compressor housing have a nipple on it? If so, I'd use that. Ideally, you want the vacuum line going to the bottom chamber of your wastegate to be a boost-only source close to the turbo for the best response.

i dont think it does. i think i have to run the line from my WG to a vacuum line? which i dont know what one. and i have to T tht for my boost controller and gauge. and i still havent found out what line goes to my oil feed. under the manifold didnt help much

You can use a vacuum line for the wastegate, but it's better if you use a boost-only source close to the turbo compressor. Keep in mind that with a boosted car, most of your vacuum lines will also become boost sources, and boost (pressure) is what will cause your wastegate to open, not vacuum. Personally, I would drill and tap the compressor housing and install a nipple, but you can use pretty much any vacuum line to do the job. If you have any boost-only lines on your setup (anything before the throttle body), you should use that. Otherwise just use a boost/vac line (something that comes from the intake manifold, make sure there isn't a check valve in between your T-fitting and the intake manifold)

As far as the oil feed is concerned, just crawl under your car and reach up behind the block. It's pretty hard to miss. Your stock oil dummy light sensor is on the back of the block right below the intake manifold. Here's the pic from the service manual; it's not very good, but you can see the intake ports on the head near the top of the picture where your intake manifold will be. The dummy light sensor is about halfway up.

This is where I ran my oil feed from. My oil feed line is 1/8" NPT I believe, so I needed to get a BSPT->NPT adapter. The dummy light is BSPT thread so you will have to get a BSPT male adapter to NPT female (or whatever the thread is on your oil feed line)

Also, I read up on the AEM F/IC and it seems like a decent system, but I'd still go with the reflash if I were you, especially since you have an '03. I'm pretty sure AMS has tuned Evo VIII's using EcuFlash, so I don't know why they wouldn't be able to tune your car with it. Maybe they've only tried with 00-02 ECUs and haven't tried on an 03+ yet :dunno:

COULD I USE ONE OF THOSE LINES TO RUN THE VACUUM LINE TO MY WG? BOTH GO FROM TB TO MY INTAKE
ACTUALLY THERE IS A LINE FROM MY IM TO MY FPR. I THINK ILL USE THT ONE

IS THIS THE OIL DUMMY LIGHT SENSOR?

i gave up on havin them flash it. thy where 100% sure i couldnt. thy said the last guy had a 01 and it didnt work and he purchased a 03 ecu and thy still failed so then thy ran a dual ecu set up, and with tht he had problems with his mass airflow sensor. thy told me piggyback and msd ignition or a fic so i already have the fic so ima go with tht.

No, I wouldn't use one of those lines. They're really small. How about the line that connects the PCV valve on the top of the valve cover to the front of the intake manifold? Personally, I t-ed into my vacuum brake booster line (on the back of the intake manifold) for all of my vac/boost sources so that it would look nice and pretty, but many people tend to think this isn't a good idea. I disagree, but perhaps someone else can provide some insight on this?

Yes, that's the oil dummy light sensor.

yeah i could use tht. what do u think would b better tht or the line from intake manifold to fpr? bc tht is a really thick line on PCV valve.
glad i figured out for the oil feed line iv been reading on tht for like 2 days and couldnt find shit. thanks much man? ill def have to cruise with u at 100 next year man.

i just took of the oil light sensor and im getting the coolant from my lines from the heater core. only thing i could think of.
my last question is do i hook my boost controller directly to my wastegate. and the run the vacuum line from my compressor (i looked and yes there is a nipple) to my vacuum source? or do i run the line from the compressor to the wastegate and T to run a line to my vacuum source.
i fig id run my boost controller to the wastgate. and compressor to vacuum source (prolly manifold to fpr line). and T tht line to my boost gauge and BOV also.

what system management are you using?

lol yeah it will... i wonder if mine will be on? hope i pass emissions lol
i dont think yours will be on, i think i read if you have the aems fic it wont be on....
i wont pass emissions, i have a straight exhaust with no cat:lol::lol:
good thing they dont do emissions tests in my city:)
