If they did fit dont you think there would be more 72's with 75 heads instead if doing the whole swap.

 

they might bolt up but your compression will drop alot if i remember correctly, search dude, it's been discussed.

 

Different bolt patterns. A simple search would have yielded this information.

 

Um what? Of course they'll bolt up. All USDM 6g7 24vs use the same head bolt pattern.

The car won't even run though. The 72 makes like 8.95:1 stock... With the 3.8 heads it's like 6.9:1. It wont run at all.

It'd be a useless endeavor either way. 3 liters isn't enough displacement to do shit without boost and you can't spin it any higher so there's literally no gain. Aside that the 3.8 valves are so big you'll LOSE power. Just like the 3.8 guys who do oversized valves.

i have the 3.0 cover on my 75 heads. it works fine.

 

3.0, 3.5, and 3.8 non mivec covers won't fit a mivec head because of the timing gear cover extension. It hit's the control solenoid. There may also be other internal clearance issues. I put a timing cover extension on my mivec cover and use it on my 3.0.
