my username stems from an inside joke from highschool between me and my friends-(not my idea), I wouldn't be that conceded to try and push royalty on anyone including myself.
The tails ARE sonar, I had to double check myself. The post was made in the middle of class the other night.

Im going to start searching on how to tune the 2000 ecu since everything i've read says that it isnt flashable.
Thanks for the feedback guys, there is alot of encouragement and ideas on this sight.:yesway:

ok

I did valve covers and new plugs and wires. i also got the gear oil changed and changed the motor oil.

I still have 3 prothanes to install, 74 tb from silvertune, xg350 mani, 72 lower mani (both ported and polished). the intake and valve covers and the stiffy brackets will be sprayed with vht titanium header paint and will cleared and hopefully smoothed out:yesway:

now. I have an alloy fuel door waiting to be installed, extra wiper cowl to paint and pop on along with wiper arms. cf battery tie down is on its way as well.

goodness.......SO MANY SPARE PARTS AROUND MY HOUSE.

bought the laptop from Jaloosk for this car (i love it) with that comes the tatrix cable that was from evoscan directly ((that was rejected at the post office and i will buy again from tatrix directly)

bought the lexus projectors and i planned to do a second retrofit BUT the can demsinion is 4 round x 7.5 long....they are EFFING huge. they will be repurposed into some sort of house lamp.

Just picked up the 03-05 door panels and this ties into the black delrin shift knob. (the plan)- the strip accent that is commonly cf wrapped will be wood grain along with the shift knob. Ive come from a wood working background and thats what i want ( big leaf maple burl ) then i will wrap the midnight blue in most likely silver suede and ill make the shift boot match.

and the rpws will go on when i pull and replace the intake and i can get at the back bank properly.

there is the update thats been waiting too long to pop out.

so, im wondering if i can get pointed in the right direction.

I bought a purolator pcv valve (pv1054m) and i tore out the grommet that went to the valve cover. What is the replacement that fits the valve and the valve cover hole. It will go into the 6g72 3.0 valve cover that i pulled as pictured above.

any help would be great because ive searched for days on that stupid piece of rubber.

It's an OEM grommet. At least that's the only place I found it.

So......... I love my family but within 5 minutes of seeing my cousin/ giving him a ride home he made the brand new can of duplicolor clear that I had explode behind the seat. I have a new set of door panels and I had thought about getting new carpet but its as if that strapped a rocket on the situation

Looks like I got a new thing to research:(

this is me stuck in port&polish land. Im pleased with the results for a first time. since i work at a CNC machine shop i know what finishes i WANT to get but i have to make due with the dremel and a few attachments and tricks ive learned in the past 2 weeks. School is starting soon and I hope to get everything that ive got bolted on and working by MOD in IL. It'll be my first one so i hope to meet some members there.:wavey:

That's a really nice job :yesway: The finish looks just fine if you ask me. The problem with trying to with mirror-smooth is that it requires exponentially more time and effort to get it perfect vice what you've got and it's ultimately not worth it.

Go get you a set of heads from the junk yard to do. If you go that route I'd recommend a dual-geometry manifold to keep lower-rpm port velocities up though or you might lose some torque. I know you were going with that XG350. What happened with that again?

#26 ·
Xg350 is in three pieces right now. The back two are polished, all that's left is the runners and I gotta drill out and tap the solenoid hole for a plug. Then that's going to be bolted to this polished 72 lower and the 74 2 nipple tb that I bought from silvertune.
Then while I have the top of the engine tore up ill get headers on, tacked, off, coated, and back on again. Front and rear valve cover+ ingalls brackets+ manifolds will be powder coated and installed. New Pcv grommet and valve will go in AND to top that all off I bought all new silicone vacuum line so ill re do all of that bullshit while it is being put back together.

"solenoid hole" ...? I'm unfamiliar with the XG manifolds. Is this because you aren't going to use the butterflies? Because you should, is what I was getting at in the previous post.

Also, you can go at that TB as well. You seem to have a grasp of contouring and picturing the flow. You can take those steps out and smooth it out to where the air "turns" a little less as it goes through the TB. Just be careful around where the plate seats, marking it off while installed like you did for the gasket match.

#28 ·
I'm not using the butterflies. They were absolutely filthy I stripped about half the screws taking them out and there isn't enough reading as to where to get the signal to activate the butterflies with different rpms. I said fuck it and never put it back in. I'm not going to go crazy on this engine.
In fact. This is the last performance mod I do for this car. I'm saving up for an 03/05 3G that has been garage kept. I'm starting to see some rust issues that might be worth fixing if I garage kept now but IL has a fetish for salt and its not worth my money for all the modifying . I'll only be focusing on interior since it can be kept in good shape.

Just get an MSD window switch. Really simple concept: find your 12v, your ground, and wire the solenoid for the butterflies to it. Now, that's where I become unfamiliar with the XG manis. They are electric motor-activated, right? And only two-position? (open/closed) Should be really simple. If you were to go with a GTS mani you'd need an additional vacuum solenoid, and an EGR one should work (but don't quote me).

I'd agree with your sentiment on the car, but it's an easy mod that'd be beneficial to it no matter what direction you go. Bigger motor, using it for another project, whatever you want. You won't regret it.
