how many miles on the car now? besides the intake, any other mods to the car? is your ac working correctly (as in blowing cold air and not warm)? besides when running the ac, does the car stall any other times? any other symptoms of the car not performing right other than stalling out when the ac is on?

If the intake bit was recent, then yeah I'd say that wouldn't be a bad place to start. Probably not the ultimate cause of your problem, but it could be contributing to it if you overlooked something during the install. Cleaning the air filter is never a bad idea, so hit that as well. Probably not really necessary, but it might be a good idea to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU before you let it relearn the idle this time around as well.

Other than that, check the routine stuff like sparks n wires, belts, and fuel delivery.

mine does that to, but i have stock intake right now..it didn't do it when i first got that car..then my ses light came on, and threw a p0141..so i changed out two o2 sensors and the damn light is still on, and the car acts like it wants to cut off when i turn the ac on, but it just idles real low as long as i'm sitting still, but going down the road, its fine..i'm going to change that last sensor thats closest to the manifold and hopefully that solves my problem..

it happened to me, its because u have the cold air. For some strange reason it does that. just disconnect batt. then start it up again(make sure you have your radio code) then let it sit for about ten minutes. drive it around.if it isnt fixed then let your car idle a bit longer. then itll go away.

yea, well it might be motor mounts......but thats just a suggestion

it happened to me ac on car stall, becuz the motor mounts were busted and the engine will shake causin the engine to stall, sometimes it will idle weird too.....if u have a five speed and ur car dips alot when u switch gears its ur motor mounts, the engine will vibrate more cauzing it too stall at idle or when u turn on the ac it will cuz the engine to vibrate more and stall at idle......but most likely it mabe the intake prob as stated..?

Whats and IAC motor??? also i did everything that i said i would and the car died on me on the highway, sucksssss because its like 100 degrees outside had to wait an hour for tow truck to come. Anyways am running out of ideas am gonna call a mechanic and see whats up, i thought about putting the stock intake again to see if it dosent stall. How do you clean the throttle anyways??? also can it be the MAS ??? i had that replaced about a year ago cause it would do the same thing.

Remove the throttle body and replace the IAC motor. It's located on the side of the throttle body beneath where the intake piping meets the inlet to the throttle body. While you have the TB (throttle body) off, clean it with some TB Cleaner from your local parts store. Then reinstall with the new IAC motor. I would get one from a site online or used. Mitsu dealers charge $330-some dollars for a new one.

its nothing but the computer. you probably had your battery disconnected right before it started doing that. when you disconnect the battery and then put it back again the the rpm goes up and down till it finds where its supposed to be but the AC is not letting the engine run for a while for the computer to find out where it should be, if you hold the gas a little just below 500 rpm it will pull it back up in a little bit.

Well Rulez gave me a good pointer it could have been a bad ground and just my luck i remenber that i still had my ground cable set installed on the car but not connected to the battery at all, now i took all that off and i turned the ignition on and the car turned on with a small push of the throttle. I let the car sit for a few minutes and drove it around to my other parking space everything seem fine but am worried that ill drive to work and ill have to call another tow truck to come and pick me up, ill have to call a mechanic anyways just to be sure.

WEll it happend again today on my way to the club(suckssssssss). I had found a loose wire yesterday and the car ran fine it was rubbing against the alternator belt and was splicing it. I put some electrical tape on it and all was well right... I drove today to work and back, i started driving to my friends house and on the way to the club after picking him up the car died this was as soon as i decided to turn the A/C on before that i had it off and it was working fine. We called his dad and he started messing with the cables from the battery and he said that they were dirty and that they did not hook up to it the battery well, also he said to change the connections to some new ones which i will try that tomorrow and see, after ill take it to a mechanic.

Well here is my update so far, after i changed the terminal a drove it two days staright no prob whatsoever untill today coming from the gym it died on me again. I put back my stock intake box because iam trading the car in a few months and to see if that was the problem but what i notice is that when i turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right the car makes a weird noise and it feels like it wants to stall even on parking!! Also when i turned the AC and did that it dropped the RPM's like crazy and it felt like it wanted to die.
