The time has come for me to put the 3G aside and look for another project. 10 years and 110,000 miles just rubs me the wrong way. I still love her but It's time to let he go.

I'm looking for something in the $25,000 range for this spring. I've done some looking at the Scion SR-S and the Subie BRZ and then realized I can get a WRX for about the same price.

Requirements:

$25,000 (no more then 30,000 after all fees and taxes)
New or used
Not FWD
The more HP the better
07-08 or newer
less then 40k miles

Let me know what you would get ;)

If it were me, I would probably get g37 coupe. It has decent power, great looks, and its still pretty new.

The FR-S though also sounds pretty nice, RWD, Good MPG, and the cost isn't that high for a 2013 car.

Edit: Joel beat me the punch on the g37

My money is on the 2011 Mustang GT V-8. 412hp, plus plenty of bolt-ons are available for the car. I don't know if you are a "Ford" guy but to me, I think it looks like a great car. Plus, it's got more HP than any of the other muscle car remakes. The Challenge SRT-8 has 470hp but its like $37,000 for a 2011 lol

Challenger came out with 425 and the chevy with 426. My kindergarten arithmetic tells me 412 is the least of all the remakes. It also makes the least torque by a long shot.

It is however the only one of the three that can hook any amount of power and given some breathing help that 5.0 really is a beast of an engine. Best sounding V8 ever.

Wait till the sti version of the brz is released. They're speculating first quarter 2013 last time I checked. I would DEFINITELY go that route. It would probably start around $30k I'm guessing though

Was in a drawing through my work recently for a Scion FR-S. Sales jobs and their advantages. I did not win it clearly. After talking with the guy who did win it however, he plans on trading it in for something else, not a big fan.

genesis>than brz. why would you want a slower genesis for the same money? also, in tests, the base model camaro v6 is faster, stops faster, and can achieve higher slalom speeds while being cheaper than the top of the line genesis. this is what kept me from buying one, too much of a let down, i would take a ralliart over a genesis personally. maybe look into that

Sorry to say but the new mustang's look and sound are starting to get to me... Even though I like the looks of the 350s/370, as much as we get together (although I know things will change as the years go on... Brothers or not, our lives will be busy and we will not be together as much as we are or were) it still doesn't seem like it has the trunk room for all the events.
