Crais' Toys, 03 GT Supercharged WIP & 01 GT Sporty

This has been my project and learning experience for the past 5 or so months. Bought it not running (jumped time), took it apart and got a valve job and sat around for a few days staring at all the parts wondering how the hell I was going to figure out how it goes back together. :dunno:

I quite literally had no idea what I was doing but a TON of reading and searching and reading more and PM'ing some very noobish questions about everything from the auto world lingo to "it's making a strange sound" type things and I somehow managed.

Tuning has begun, making good progress ironing out the kinks as we find them.

Huge thanks to Silvertune for helping me out with this! He has patiently answered every one of my questions and stuck with me while I tried to figure out what the hell I was doing. I don't think I could have made it run without his help. Seriously man, drinks are on me if you're ever in my part of the country.

You need room for groceries or what? I've got 2 batts, a voltage regulator, and a 15" sub in 1.5-2cuft box all in my Spyder's trunk. Even have room left over to play with! Problem comes when some @$$clown drinks and drives...

All my electro-goodies looked like the trunk :(

Pics in how to need links updated :( Will try to get it done next week.

That's terrible! Hopefully the guy had insurance.

Come to think of it I almost never use my trunk for anything. Occasionally a tool box or something like that. I guess I just don't like the extra weight that far back in the car. I've got two amps, my battery, and 2 12" +a solid box.

I have a hard enough time getting grip in first and second as it is

Curious if you ever get headlight dimming during bass peaks.

You changed your piping between photos 8 & 9, correct? Looks like a welded in BOV in 8 and a y pipe and BOV in pic 9?

If not I'm seriously confused.

Based on the little I've read on the subject it would get rid of the wheel hop I experience but I'm poor so I'll have to wait until I have some extra cash and one hits the forums. There was a pretty good deal a while back; someone was selling the Quaife with a transmission.

Haven't done the lower control arm bushings and I'm a little hesitant to do the torque damper since I've read a few negative things about vibration. I already get a fair amount since I'm using some prothane mounts on the sides and deyeme firm on the front and rear.

Actually, come to think of it I haven't had any hop since I changed those side mounts, but I haven't really pushed it hard. I'll have to experiment.

Traction is definitely an issue though. Even if I have a perfect start I can't go wot in first or I break loose at about 4500. After that it's rough getting it back.

I don't recall any additional vibration from my Ingalls ETD but I already had firm mounts all around. I drown the vibration out with a 2kw stereo anyways ;)

What are you going to do to the bushings? Press them out and replace? IIRC, I just swapped out the control arms for new ones. Still have the old ones in a box LOL
