ok before anyone flames, I spent the last hour searching the forum, and didnt really find a solid answer. I saw some people saying that u need a tune after adding a header,but others saying theynever tuned it. so heres where I stand:
I KNOW that tuning will maximize power gains from modifications. but my questions is this: do I ABSOLUTELY need a tune after adding a header? can I just add the header, and do the mechanical 02 sim and be fine? I basically do not want my car to run rich/throw codes.
now I know you guys do not like the OBX header, but this is what im planning on getting. why? simply because im not into speed, I have an 01 gs spyder for crying out loud, the word fast and gs spyder do not mix. I just want a header for the "bling" since I like showing my car. yes I know OBX discolors, which is why Im getting it coated before installing.
or, does anyone have a pic of the stock header? (without the heatshield in front of it) i figure if it looks decent, I can simply get the stock one coated and avoid the hassle of needing a sim, or throwing codes/etc....
