sup guys. I am going to try and do this post rite this time since last time i messed up and posted the same thread 3 times and in the wrong forum:happysad:

But anyways, I have a 2002 GS and I plan on dropping the evo 4g63T motor in. i already searched and read up and stuff and i know it will drop in and will work with my stock tranny. but when i was reading the threads, even this one, "3G-2G-Evo Engine Swap Information" (which is a awsome thread btw)it just says that the starter gets in the way of the manifold. it doesn't say wat guys do to get around it. so my question is how/wat do guys that have done this swap do to make it fit?

any help or thoughts would be great.

and i know alot of guys are going to say I should just get the evo head and keep the stock block. but i would rather just do a whole new engine.

i know. but i just think it would be more beneficial right off the bat to do the whole engine. i know it would be cheaper and easier, but that doesn't really concern me to much. i read up on the guys that did the head swap and thats straight and all, but i just would rather do the whole engine. feel free to tell me if im wrong.:D

JDM 4G63T EVO V JDM RACING MOTORS - JDM Engines, Transmissions and Accessories.

i haven't got it yet. i am still getting my "funds" in order.:fever:

that price is pretty steep but i figure thats only what i would be paying up front. once it gets in, i will probably sell the tranny since that engine will bolt up to my stock tranny and then i can sell my old engine. and then sell watever else i dont need.

lol. i think i mite do the mivec. but im not going to lie. this whole swap thing isnt going to happen tomorow. idk when i am going to start since i have to go back to school in less than a month. but i will prob sell my stock motor so i will keep yall in mind when i do.:twothumb:

i take it that ur doing the whole evo head swap and build a stroker. do u have ur head already and if u do, where did u get it?

hey guys

i dont wanna hog the thread but while were on the subjct of wiring harness .

i have a 2003 galant with the 4g64 engine (same as the 3g) . i already bought an entire evo 8 front which includes the engine , all the accessories. the wiring harness and the engine mounts. i had a great deal on it ( even came with rotors and calipers )

anyway ive already pulled out the old 4g64 from my g and ive also pulled out the 8 g wiring harness and i already started installing the evo 8 wiring harness .

did anyone on this site do the swap with the 4g64 wiring harness ?

and for the starter i think an available option would be of getting an aftermarket mani (tubular ) and have it rewelded for more room , would it be not ?

this is my thread on the TGC forum
