although it doesnt mention it in the artcle I agree with Iceman. there are a couple places where the front and rear seem to be driving the car. :dunno: Guess it could just look that way too.

 

I was kinda thinking that but according to Dodge Avenger Rally Sedan (2011 concept car) it is still FWD. AWD was an option on these Avengers until 08 though. So maybe the pulled a couple parts out of the corporate parts bin?

ok you lost me a bit there. You're upset at Mopar because they are no longer basing their cars off of a turd 3G platform? I would say that's "progress".

 

those cars have nothing to do with the street version. now they are using the Avenger. neither of those came RWD with a HEMI. its just a tube car with a shell on it

Sorry, but the Evo8/9s 4G63T-powered CT9A platform bears no relation whatsoever to the GEMA 3.5L EGF HO V6-powered J-Platform Avenger/Sebrings equipped with Borg Warner's ITM 3e (FWD/on-demand AWD) assembled at SHAP (Sterling Heights Assy Plant.)


But hey, what do I know: I've only been a 'Big 3' Tier-1 supplier since the late 60s/early 70s (been into MOPARS for nearly as long), and often deal directly with their Engineers/Quality personel: you know... the guys who actually design & understand the damn things their companies produce! Plus, I've got a few close relatives who work at SHAP.

If you look, it says 3.5L V6 and that was the previous generation which did have AWD as an option until I believe '08 :dunno: The current generation is a 3.6L I think that might be an old article or post

The 2008-2009 R/Ts had AWD as an option. Stupid that they dropped it.
