CHARLOTTE — Authorities say a mother, her daughter and a 13-year-old boy have been killed after a wreck involving a vehicle in a street race.

Police told The Charlotte Observer that 45-year-old Cynthia Furr was turning out of her southwestern Charlotte neighborhood Saturday evening on to state Highway 49 when a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse slammed into her Mercedes.

Authorities say Furr and her 2-year-old daughter died shortly after the wreck, while 13-year-old Hunter Holt, a passenger in the Eclipse, died Sunday afternoon.

The driver of the Eclipse, 20-year-old Tyler Stasko, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Police are trying to determine who drove a Camaro racing the Eclipse.
another reason not to street race and take this shit to the track.

The street racing in Charlotte has been getting out of hand over the past few years. This was obviously just a kid being an idiot, but there are large groups that meet and organize the races. I'm sure that happens all over the country. For some reason, there are a lot of illegal Mexicans (some involved with the MS-13 gang) racing stolen Hondas. If they get caught they ditch the cars and run. It's not the real car people doing it.

by the way he looks like, I don't think he would mind. Seriously though, he just destroyed so much for that 5-20 seconds of fun killing his own 13 year old passanger  and a mother and her 2 year old daughter! How must her husband feel to lose his wife and daughter? This fucking kid should be put in jail for no less than 15 years and pay for any and ALL expenses for and from the family for absolutly everything!!!

this is what I found after searching for a bit
Second degree murder - mandatory life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for 11–25 years (parole eligibility determined by the judge at sentencing, but if the person has a prior conviction for murder, parole eligibility is 25 years)
and from LawyerShop Canadian Legal Information Centre
Second degree murder is defined as all other murder other than first degree murder. So, if you do not plan and you do not deliberate about it but you still intend to kill someone, that is second degree murder. The sentencing ranges from life in jail with no parole for 10 years to 25 years until you are eligible for parole. If there are mitigating factors the jury can recommend the minimum.

After the time is served in prison on a sentence for first or second degree murder, you still report to a parole officer for the rest of your life. If you fail any of the requirements that are set out in your conditions of release on parole, there is no hearing and you go right back to jail.

it really is retards like him that makes life hard for the rest of us.

they go out, watch a movie, buy a car, go to ebay, spend 100 bucks on intake, and "racing muffler" then 100 bucks on stickers (that is where the real horsepower is) then run around as fast as they can, trying to show off.

even without the accident, anyone that would think it is a good idea to race like that on the street, is wrong.

the accident is a huge punctuation mark.

it is just crap like him, that pisses me off.

on the street, when it comes down to it, just because you can pass people does not mean you are a better driver, or have a faster car. it just means you give less than crap about other's safety. woohoo you win the prize....

Because not everyone has matured to see what is going on. They all sit there and think, Hey he was a jackass and didn't know how to drive but I do and then they lose control and kill someone, take this guy for example.
This is a PERFECT EXAMPLE!!!

Is it really that hard to find open track days? There has to be local car clubs that set up spirited driving days. Hell I've been to a few that were set up in parking lots with all of the necessary precautions taken (EMS on site, the hole area cordon'd off, so on). Well his life is over now. So we can all learn from his mistake and move the fuck on.

i'm not saying what he did was good in any way but to answer your question. YES it is hard to find an open track these days especially in the east texas area because they keep closing the tracks down. dont know why but they do. oh i know why because people go there to sell drugs and shot at people. death is around and no one can stop death when it is there time. you live to die no matter how short it is and this man's street racing has caught up with him to the highest limit. sometimes bad shit happens to good people. its the way of the world and always will be to the end.
