Hey I'm new here, I looked around a little but didn't find anything about this. Is it possible to use any parts from the neon srt-4's? I know they have a 2.4 and mitsubishi and dodge are close so i didn't know if anything was inter changeable or not

Basically you can use the turbo parts, although I wouldn't use any of the actual motor parts, (IE crank, pistons, head, etc.) I don't think the engine has the same orientation as our cars do.
The SRT-4 motor is just like the stratus r/t 4 cylinder (mexican).. basically the exact same motor, and the 2.4 in the mexican stratus isn't really at all the same with the eclipse, so therefourth the srt4 neon isn't anything like it either.
Actually that is why I never liked the SRT-4... It's basically a Neon with a Stratus R/T engine on it. It is fast, but for the price you can get better things... It's a matter of tastes: there are more luxurious cars that cost the same, however they are not turboed...
It is not the same as the Mitsubishi 2.4 L engine, so you can't use much there...
I know that you can use the injectors, and the whole turbo if you can get it to fit. However you can't use any of the internal block components of the SRT-4 engine.
SRT-4 is just a turbo neon, the Evo is just a turbo awd lancer, that's not the question asked though, is it? The SRT-4 injectors work along with the clips which you'd have to get from the dealer. Any turbo off of anything will work as long as you have a manifold to fit, so yes, the turbos do bolt up. You'd just need a typical Garrett flanged 4 bolt manifold. As far as 2.4l's go it's just a displacement, they aren't the same motors.
the stock turbo and manifold on a SRT4 are a 1 peice setup. The only parts that can be used is basically fuel injectors, and IC. None of the pipping can be used. For a bit of technical side of things, the SRT4 uses the chrysler 2.4 (world engine). the 3g and stratus 2dr use the mitusbishi 4g64 (2.4)
The chrysler engine is a DOHC design and it is used in the 4dr models of the stratus/sebring/neon/pt cruiser and one or two more. the DOHC is not interchangeable with our setup.
We use engine parts from the evo 8 (most popular), some Kia optima parts (cylinder head) and that is about it. If you have anymore questions feel free to IM me on AIM.
the only cars it was put in on the dodge/chrysler side was the stratus coupe and sebring coupe. Both cars are assembled by Mitsubishi. the 4g64 is not a chrysler motor.
To set ppl straight a dodge srt4 is a POS but has same block and tranny as 3g eclipse head works may need to turbo if ur gunna use it since its meant for turbo same goes for a evo head if it comes with a turbo on the stock car better to do that because all motor means different internal parts/building of the motor. motor is just displaced differently-
remember when a talon and laser was a eclipse well now u know.
