What lubricant are you using? I've been using the Dupont Multi use Teflon lubricant.

 

I have been using the Maxium Chain wax for years with great results.

 

Just picked up some recently too. The Dupont with Teflon is supposed to be good too.

 

Do you get any splatter with it at all? Doesn't look like there's any on the chain at all.

 

Nope, no splatter. I cant recommend it enough although I have heard good things about the DuPont as well.

 

I got a random question? Those wheel stands like for track bikes, how does the ass end come off that if you were by yourself and wanted to get it down. Do you just put down the regular kick stand?

 

Yes. I usually hold the bike steady with my left hand and ease out the stand with my right hand.

It is. It is simple to apply, cleans off anything that I didn't catch with the kerosene and grunge brush, and it doesn't leave any type of gunk to fling off later. I still have some wax from when I first got my bike, on the rear wheel.

Yes you do, I have had them on the bike since day one. Havent got the chance to test them out and hope I dont.

I still cant visualize how your saying you get the back off the stand.

 

You put the kickstand down, hold the seat of the bike with your left hand, grab the handle of the stand with your right. Start lifting the handle of the stand up while holding the bike steady with your left. What's not to get?

 

Easy there tough guy....it kind of makes sense now.

 

My pitbull stand has a handle protruding from that curve.

 

Na I got it, just wish I had a bike.
