I tried to get the tune right and finally got a taste of the power. The car pulls very well in 1st 2nd and 3rd (until 5000, in third). Here is a really really poor quality video I took.

At 5000rpm you can hear the graagraagraah (which I think is misfire going on).
Is it misfire in your opinions?

I'd recommend a tractrix cable with Evoscan. It's 25$ and that's what I'm using and theirs no gray areas with it. Plus then you can tune your ECU for timing and stuff when dyno-time comes. I can't remember if you have the cable or not?

I don't understand why it bogs in 3rd but not the first two. WOT should be WOT unless you're using some weird speed based boost controller. That is if the fault here is the Ripp devices. Perhaps something in your ECU fuelling maps is clicking in there. :dunno:

I really don't know. I'm going to get the evoscan and the tatrix cable. The AFR is at 11.6 in boost and 14.7 at idle. The ign is varies from 22 to 31. At 31 the car seems to bog and run bad.

Tihanic, check out the video, tell me what you think...do you hear the grumble? Could it be that Its just the exhaust..
 
well he has sc car longer then you guys.And he told me 1 time that it dont read good its good for I4's
He might have been using older version of it. I mean he could just use mitsulogger or scantech for that case. Ive used all 3 of them and there pretty close. Now you wont be able to use certain features thats dedicated to evo but thats no biggie.

I dont know but he gave me a link and it had toyota tacomas with v'6s

oh your talking about the gadget online u-tune pdf. That right there just goes into the details about tuning and what not. That has nothing about the evo scan in there

I'm going to probably need a professional tuning sessions..But I don't know if local shops can handle this ripp software.

tuning is tuning as long as they understand what everything means then they should be able to

^^Silvertune, I talked to Ross today. He is a very nice and knowledgeable gentleman. He explained to me that the piggy back system was very limited and that, in an analogy, it was similar to a baseball going through a window. The hole it makes is small, so you can see what's fulling going on inside. He suggested, as is normal procedure now at Ripp, an ECU flash. He told me the most common problem with the 3G are O2 sensors going bad or not being adjusted to the right ratings.

I think he is right, he described to me exactly what my car was doing without me telling him, so it must be a regular issue. I believe the car is safe to drive, considering the AFR ratios are very rich and it's only pushing 5psi. I'll buy the Evoscan and the Tactrix cable shortly, but I'm going to need to learn how it works and have a little bit of help from you guys.

I also took a video at idle. Let you know what the car sounds like.
