thanks. there is a nice sized gap between the bottom of the lights and the bumper. but there was no sealing there. should i seal it on the bottom when i reseal the lights tomorrow?

im also planning on switching to 4300k so the output will be even better within a few weeks. cant you use a different temp bub with the same ballasts? or do i need to get a whole new kit?

Smoked w/chrome is a good alternative to black. Like the chrome TYC's, VHT them and they look amazing. Looks good.

 

yea...that's what i also did. my chrome tyc's are nightshaded

 

Now after looking at that high beam and its shape....That's a chrome Depo, not a Sonar unless I'm missing the halo around the low beam. Secondly, yes you can get a different temperature bulb if you have ballasts already. I had 8k originally in Depo projectors and now have 4300 using same ballasts.

 

it is a sonar and does have the halo on the low beam projector. u just cant see it in the pics because i havent hooked the halo ring up yet. im gonna do that tomorrow. and it also says "sonar" on the front of the headlight. but once again, u cant see it from the pics

 

Ok then I stand Corrected.

 

My driver side sat up like that. unfortunately I had to cut off 2 of the plastic brackets (for the 3 bolts) to make it drop into place. You might want to see if thats what is holding it up.

 

im not including an hid kit. just the headlghts. but ill post pics up of them later after work.

 

btw, wen i do hook up the halos, will i have to hook up both lights to make them come on? or can i just hook one light up to make sure i wired them right?

 

:yesway: Looks good. I had my each of my halos hooked up to the parking lights right next to it.

You can just do one and only that one will work. Wire them into your front corners so they come on with your gauges/parking lights and they'll also flash when you lock your doors.

 

While this is true, you have to use a probe and see which wire is which. One way and they will only come on when your parking lights are on. The way I did it, they flash with the blinker and when I lock my doors.

The how-to tells you the color of the wire for each way I think, so he shouldn't need a probe. I just tapped the one that doesn't cause them o flash with the turn signal.

 

That's great I was making a point because noobs don't think. If he is unsure, use probe and the fact that the colors are sometimes different.

Im gonna be workin on some custom ones once the freakin weather gets better. :ninja2: I might try it on my OEMs first before I try on my sonars.

 

They do look very nice, I think I'm going to add that to my to-do list depending on how the full car pics look.
