he every one kinda new here but not on the other site but its down and I have an issue that I need to fix......and I tried the search first but no-body seem to have quite the same problem
Ok my problem is two codes P0172 and P0175 (System Adaptive Fuel too rich bank 1 & 2.)
My Ride: 03 GTS 5-speed
My Mods that matter: V2 AEM intake, Iridium plugs and outlaws manifold and throttle body spacers.
The story: About 4 months ago I had a huge vacuum leak that caused various codes and would not hold an idle not wanting to deal with it I took it to a local shop. There they replaced the O2 sensors and the mass air flow sensor and got the car running but you could still here the massive leak and the car did not run all that well( I guess that is what I get for taking it to a shop where the people just to what the computer tells them.). So I took it home and start tearing into it trying to find out what is causing my leak. While in the process of this I find what I think is the idle control valve (see pics) half way out of its hole ………so I re-installed it and my car now runs great and no more leak that I can here or detect but my codes will not go away, I have a code reader and can clear them but they come back after a little awhile.
What I think so far: I don’t think that my mods caused my current problem because my car was running great for about 3 months before I heard the leak. But I do think that my TB is the cause of the codes I just don’t know what it is or why.
So that’s it
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Or if you knew of a shop in the bay area that dose more than what a computer tells them too would be great.
