I like the MIVEC, manual transmision, and RRE tuned suspension. However, the bling, rice, and x-drilled rotors get the :noway: in my eyes. It is about time that they brought back a manual galant. The galant handles better than the eclipse anyway.

:scratch: explain how a heavier vehicle, on the same chassis, with essentially the same suspension on the performance model handles better

 

Better weight distribution front to rear, even though it is heavier. I'm no handling professional, but I have driven both a lot.

 

Not to mention that the chasis is stiffer due to having shorter doors and a B-pillar.

Eclipse: 63/37

On a 3200 pound car, 1% amounts to 32 pounds. not very noticable. The Eclipse is essentially a 2 door Galant, there shouldn't be a handling difference

I didn't realize the distribution difference was that little. It must be just a placebo effect, of driving the Glant at slower speeds and tossing it around.

 

Not bad looking, i like the MiVec, the Eclipse's should of had them.

 

The new Eclipse is 3600 pounds. The new Galant even more so!

I saw both the Endeavor and the Galant at RRE/RRM last week. The paint is niiiiiice and there's a lot of little details that have been added to them that really set them apart from their regular brethren.

No turbo kits though. bummer.

What's weird is that on each of the door armrests theres a little one-inch diameter basketball also. I couldn't figure out what they're for...I suppose they could be tweeters?? You can barely make out the smudge in the interior photo above, right under the door pull.

My guess is the side-view mirror adjustment switch.
