Does anyone know if the Ripp mount comes with the actual black metal part that bolts down to the frame, or is it just the red part? Also, how good is it really at stopping that damn wheel hop?

the ripp mount is the complete front mount. deyeme mounts are also an option. those are what i have on all 4 and when i was was NA i didnt have any wheel hop

i have all 4 deyeme. the ripp press is by far much better. i cant imagine that thing giving or breaking. the deyame dont last. i am on my 2nd front mount and its all ready torn up.
How can you break a solid mount?
How can an insert last longer than a permanently filled mount?

deyeme arent solid. they are gel filled stockers.

the poly is a solid one piece insert. you gut a stock insert then press in the (and i mean press) the one piece poly into place
The stock side mounts are gel filled.
The DMR front and rear are supposed to be Solid polyurethane. Or else theya re false advertising.

I read somewhere that a guy could see the poly pulling away from the stock material. Maybe they just half ass gut them :dunno:
I guess I read wrong when I ordered mine.

The eclipse mounts arent solid. Only the Neon ones are. :dunno:
They sure as hell feel solid.

Oh well I still dont like the idea of an insert. But if these dont last the way I think they should then Ill look into other options. As of now, they are great. :twothumb:

I didnt like the idea of an insert either. But actually seeing them, holding them and pressing those fuckers in will change your mind. They fit TIGHT. On the other hand, there is noway I would buy the kind that press in over your stock guts and stay in with a zip tie.

I just ordered the prothane rear mount insert, and it's really nice. It was only $11, and it looks like it would last a long time. The front and side mounts are like $30 a piece, but you can get the whole kit for less than $100. I haven't actually put it in because I already have the deyeme front and rear mount. I didn't realize my rear mount was broken already before I ordered the prothane inserts, so that's why I went with the deyeme. For the price, you can't beat the prothanes.

Lucky the diff is still in one piece....... or is it? :p
Well, heres the thing, im sure its fine, and this is my reasoning... I lost my front, rear mounts, and my right side axle in this ordeal (bad i know, but when you lay down all 600 ponies [i wish, just makes me feel better] all at once, itll happen) lol . Anywayz, because my axle is broken, i can see if im gettin any drive to at wheel. I put the car in gear, and the axle turns ( i believe its the half shaft, right? the one in the middle?) I can put it in any gear and thats what i get... I also get a speedo reading, but i thats supposed to happen as the transmitter is in the tranny... everything is workin luckly, but i think right now my engine is resting on the crossmember under the car.

Want to stop wheel hop?

Want faster acceleration?

Want to put more power to the ground?

RIPP Modifications has designed Polyurethane front engine mounts for its entire line of SDS powered cars.

They are press in units and are design and fabricated in house. They will eliminate all engine and wheel hop.

When you accelerate from a stop you feel a solid hit or bobble (play). This is primarily do to the front mount being hollow ( as seen in the pictures). This hollowness is responsible for wheel hop during hard acceleration

If you’re running any stage of our SDS this play can cause internal transmission problems.

Price:$ 69.95 Part Number: fm001

Its expensive, but im sure it will never wear out. Ripp told me on the phone that i would have to get it hydraulically pressed in, so ill have that done when it gets to me here in England... hopefully ill be able to take some pix ;)
