i was wondering if the tein super street dampeners are so much better than the kyb and eibach to justify paying twice as much for? from what i can tell both are adjustable shocks and the main difference is you can do height adjustment with the coilovers. i really don twant to pay $700 just for height adjustment since 2" would cover my needs just fine. so im looking for opinions on the better of the two when price is thrown in with it.

i really dont plan on adjusting it because it is my dd. i just want to make my dd better. so it looks like springs and shocks then. mainly just looking for great handling while being able to handle roads well since i drive to work in baltimore and i dont think i need to say anymore than that. lol.

Well, I myself previously had Tanabe Springs, and then switched to Tein SuperStreet (with Pillow Ball Mounts)...

I also live in Maryland, and used to live in Baltimore...

For where I live (and considering that I have every other suspension upgrade available), CoilOvers were the right choice for me.
But I think that you did answer your own question when you said you drive through B-More... Get the KYB's with either Tein-Stech's or Tanabe GF210's in my opinion (both are about a 1.7"/ 1.4" drop. If you really wanna go lower than that, then I would seriosly consider the Tein BASIC dampers (only like $850), rather than the Eibach Sportline or Intrax springs (both a 2" or so drop).

If you are fine with a 1.5"ish drop then definately pair KYB's with a good set of springs, any lower than that (IMO) and you would be better to go with a SIMPLE coilover set-up, rather than put that much stress on a highly compressed KYB shock with springs that are to loo for them to function at their best.

If you want to go low and have GOOD handling you want coilovers hands down. the excitement of agx + lowering springs will wear off after about a week and you'll wish you spent the extra money on the coilovers. If you just want the cosmetic effect of going a little lower then agx and springs will be just fine

I vote for Shocks/Springs. If you get coilovers and drive them in the snow, they will be rusty/corroded within 2 years.
