hate to give this but....jiffy lube?

 

Alright, So Since Beautiful Cincinnati is about 30 Degrees right now and I am well over due for an oil change I need a spot to do it. Called the dealership, they need like two weeks.. Screw that.. Next suggestion?? Garage is out of the question, no heat inside there...

See thats what my thoughts were too hell oil change takes them 10 minutes.. I called today to see if I could come in tomorrow, they were like um Next Friday we MIGHT be able to schedule you.. Im like fuck that..

 

i saw a horror story just last week. i was eating at a mexican resturant when an endeavor pulls up with the engine smoking. the lady comes in and says she just come back from walmart. they changed her oil and forgot to put the oil cap back on. how in the hell do you forget the oil cap?? what idiots

See thats my fear, the dealership atleast takes their time with the oil changes, wally world, Jiffy Lube and Valvoline are in such a hurry to get you out the door they forget half the shit their doing

Okay Jiffy Lube sounds like they are getting X'd by the second

 

Ask arround town there has to be some reputable shops in town. Finding a place to change your oil should not be a big problem.

Why dont you change it yourself in your garage or something...saves you money

 

Takes about 5 minutes to change the oil. Goodluck with that MOBIL 1. Have you ever seen the inside of an engine that ran mobil oil? I only run Valvoline oils and in my car I run Synthetic blend 10w30. Castrol also makes good oil.

Castrol uses detergents in their oil or so I've heard :dunno:

:agreed: Also, those quick lube places have extra services like checking your air filter, vacuuming, washing windows, etc. etc., to try to make extra $ of of you by trying to sell you an air filter or other parts. Just tell them that you want the OIL CHANGE ONLY and not to bother doing all that worthless checking stuff.

I bought a cheap space heater and use it when I'm working on the car in my unheated garage. It was 20 degrees outside, but toasty inside. Pays for itself first time you use it.

 

Well I went to Bob Summeral to get the oil changed, naturally they bitched about everything.. Air Filter was dirty, okay Ill fix it at AutoZone, Tires looking really bad, no shit, Ive been putting it off, finally the guy tells me The top of my Battery is dirty, Im like HUH? He said it has Acid on it.. Okay WTF...

What worst off.. Knowing my tires are bad he inflates them all to 34 lbs.. MFER!!! Max I do is 32, and I know your supposed to go by one the car is rated for but 34??
