sorry, didn't weigh glass or hatch seperate as i was replacing both!

so do you think that by gettin a cf hatch it would benefit you that much..i mena losing only 45 pounds doesnt seem like that much..atleast not that much for hte money you are spending on it

one needs to do some sole searching regards what you want to do. IE: show,
drag race or road race.
for road race, which is what i do, it elminates high weight & lowers center of gravity. thats a good thing. its the same regards replacing most of windows with lexan. of course for the street, (legally) have to keep glass windsheild.
by the way, 45 lbs is a lot of weight to loose.
depends on how much of a racer you can live with, as far as stripping out the car.
personally i don't care; mine is about as stripped as can be with a weight lose of over 270lbs under OEM. FYI, and thats after installing a 4 point rollbar, comp. seats & belts & extinguisher. i'm the only driver & don't have to account to anybody else. i do have other vehicles though. its not a dedicated racer but close. its still streetable & licensed.
