I think I know the problem now, I believe I cracked a motor mount. Since it is the motor itself that causes the shaking as i accelerate.

My 01 GT w/ 55k used to shake/shudder really bad. It only happened when the car was just starting off (leaving for work in the morning) and seemed to go away once the engine warmed up. I'm not sure exactly what stopped it but I know it went away after I cleaned my battery connections and replaced an O2 sensor.

 

I'm so confused, I've been having the same problems recently, I had it about 2 months ago, and it went away, now it has returned and seems to sound much worse

 

Mine did that and it was the left motor mount (passenger side) and bottom one was fucked to...

 

my car shakes when i start off in 1st gear and me and dave (04gsna) checked underneath my car and found my axle boot to be ripped and it also has no grease left in it...need to replace it asap...just a thought something to check..let me know when u find out!

Matt Is on a correct path;

check brake rotors for warpage
check wheels for loss of balance too, costs 20.00 to do this
