well thanks for all the input guys the reason why im replacing it is because im fixing the get a set of wheels but putting a nice set of wheels with a f up bumper would just look wrong. but since this is just just a daily driver plus i don't drive it that much since its my project/dd car the bumper fitment is not that important i think i will go with the rockauto one

well nevermind about the one from rockauto because i called them about it and they said its a aftermarket part so the emblem would not be there or correct so im guessing i will have to get it somewhere else

NewEgg is like Amazon or Ebay, they aren't necessarily the actual 'vendor'. IE, if you buy from NewEgg, you may very well be buying from teh same seller that offers the same part on Ebay or Amazon.

Anyway, I bought my non-oem pattern part from Ebay so I could get the cashback option there. The part was a great fit. The front bumper design on the 3g is actually very well designed compared to a lot of other cars and the brackests and braces really help with fitting it. I personally wouldn't bother with OEM here.

Also, they DO offer oem STYLE bumper covers that DO have the mitsu emblem indent. They do NOT have the rear bumper with the mitsubishi and eclipse indentations however, as that is trademarked. The indent for the diamond star however is not trademarked since it's not technically the logo, its the place for the logo. In other words, if you want the indent, specifiy that because these vendors usually offer both options (I've personally seen both). The one I ordered had the indent (2003 style) and my buddy ordered a 2003 style as well but it did NOT have the indent.
