Install problem

of course the heim joint will break if you install it like that. Looking at the picture, one heim joint is threaded all the way into the aluminum bar, then one is extended ALL THE WAY OUT, and the JAM NUT is near the TOP!!?!?!?!

Of course its going to break like that, these are designed to be ONE INCH SHORTER THAN STOCK, even if you put them to stock length, why would you extend ONE SIDE and not the other. They are threaded LH and RH so you can EASILY SPIN them out/in as needed. Iced out broke his too, because it was over extended.

I am more than happy to help you "fix" this matter. The joints are plenty strong, they arent designed to be extended like you have them. and why is the jam nut so high up?

I have these on a car here that has been all but jumped at this point, tis been tracked hard on R compounds, and never had an issue at all.

or lets imagine here that the rod was threaded in to where the jam nut is, then the link is in its fully short position. lets also imagine that after it broke it bounced around and may have unthreaded itself some. lets also imagine that as i said above, he unthreaded it to see what happened.

why are you on the defensive here? if theres no problem with the product then you won't have others breaking and you don't need to blame your customers.

sighs, i guess one of us is going to have to do a damn tutorial on these so that this stops happening. luckily my car is in the air right now again with the wheels off so ill tackle this over the weekend.
and it will be step by step with little symbols where some people need others to hold their hands and show them simple tasks. i dont know why people cant ask before doing something, ruin a part or a situation and then blame it on the proprietor of the broken parts or materials. people just ask, there is no harm in that.
