Thats sweet that u noticed some gains. Now get urself a nice tune and u will gain more.

Oh yea and by the looks i see u have OEM mounts. Get sum Deyeme Racing FIRM mounts or some inserts too. Will deff help you out as well.

 

The guys at Megan put them on, they said that they didn't run into any problems with installation. The finished product should be a direct bolt-on replacement.

Do you know anywhere in southern CA that I can get a good tune?? We had a meet at a shop called Tuning Tech. a while back but they mostly do Evos and other high HP cars. They didn't seem like they would be too enthusiastic about tuning a 3g, but $$ talks so if I can't find anywhere else I guess I'll just have to go there..

When do you think there will be a pre-order cus they look so sweet and I know they should be no more then 350-450 since all their other headers are only rangeing there.

 

How do they sound?

 

Throwing any codes? Will they work with the stock main cat? How worried are you (especially being in SoCal) about emissions, smog, and cops?

 

My SES light has been going on and off since I got them. It'll go on for a couple hours, then stay off for a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if they'll work with the stock cat or not. Since mine was removed as part of the install I'm assuming that they won't.

As far as the cops.. I don't really drive the Eclipse too much anymore due to all my mods. We put together a list of our illegal mods on the SoCal3g site and I've got about 10 things they can get me for :lol:. I've got a couple of other cars that I use as daily drivers now, the Eclipse pretty much sits in the garage and collects dust. I bought one of those big "California Dusters".. I don't even have to wash the car anymore.. I just dust it off every week. It's beautiful :lol:. As far as smog, I've got a special shop where I can pass for $200. I don't mind paying the extra $$ to save myself the trouble of swapping parts in order to pass...

I'm planning on doing it soon. I need to get a tune first though. My car is running pretty rich right now... I don't know what kind of #s I'd put down at this point.

 

They look pretty good. What is the diameter of the pipe at the primaries and at the end? What material are they made out of? What type of flex pipe is used? Do you notice any rasp? What is the SES on for?

Also, I think you might want to invest is some motor mounts. That stock front mount looks pretty tired.

 

What type of cat back are you using, and could you get a sound clip?

Both videos worked for me. They sound nice, but it is hard to tell from the video do you notice any rasp? BTW, I have the same CAI and exhaust. :lol:

We don't have too many tunnels around here. We have a small overpass by my work that gives a pretty good sound, but as far as tunnels the closest one is in L.A. about 45 minutes away.

Thanks The only rasp I've noticed is when you rev up at a stop. When you're on the road there's not any rasp at all.. it's a pretty good sound.

 

i actually got to ride in this car with the headers on.. and let me tell you.. its fucking loud but sounds good! nice pull to it too! i cant wait till these come out!

It goes on and off. I don't really plan on fixing it, it doesn't bother me.

 

How much did it cost or anyone know the estimate of getting these installed?? Should I get the mounts first that everyone is talking about, what is the benefit of those??
