Recently purchased an 2004 Sti PSM in color,I AM putting it away for winter time. Luckily for me the previous owner will let me store it in his garage, which is a pretty awesome thing for him to do.
I do understand that it is MEANT for snow and what not, but it is NOT meant for snow with SALT mixed in, as they love to do that here in Buffalo at the first sign of snow, so i will not ruin this in such a way.

Modifications:Rotated 35R turbo, brand new short block(not built), Perrin FMIC, Walbro 225, fuel rails, injectors, fully ported heads with oversized Ferea valves, 44mm ewg, tial BOV, full tilt ceramic racing pads, Brembo Brakes(stock obviously), blitz turboback, adjustable sway bars, strut tower braces, defi gauges and Hydra Engine Management System, ACT 6 puck clutch, steel braided clutch lines.

Some Videos:

The racing vids were on the FP Green turbo, since then it has a rotated 35R turbo, so it's alot faster now.

nothing spectacular but the car sounds very very nice, and easily muffles the sound of the new camaro, or mustang.

Plans for the car for now, are just Hella Supertones, dunno why i like them so much, and maybe i think i like the stock hood scoop, it looks odd without it, but i understand the reasoning for it not being on there, but to me it doesn't look like an STi without it.
Here are some pictures for now, more will come.
First pic is of the Dyno sheet, from the previous owner, everything is still the same.
Dyno sheet first.

yes it's just a heat wrap, that works extremely well.

mmmm Sexy....Maybe go with one color engine bay tho saw blue and red try to go all one color will look better....And the old owner will let you keep it there because hes got a spare key to take it for a drive:ndance:
eh im not worried color wise, it's not really for show, im more of an all go and no show kinda guy, and it fucking moves. And no there are 2 keys for it, and it's the old skate tool looking key, so no fancy immobilizer on these keys.. sucks.

haha more than likely, but who wouldn't want too?
i agree, once you feel the power one of these makes, you'll never wanna go back to an eclipse... i didn't hence i sold both of mine.

Top mounto to Front mount, wow that looks goof.
yes FMIC FTW... top is useless if you want to make REAL power

Gee dude, do you have any more photos? ;)

Nice car man (I am on my third Subie), I have no idea why you are putting her up for the winter though, Subies are made to be driven in the winter!
nope no more photo's for now ;)
and yeah winters as long as they hold of on the salt... this thing for a 2004 looks like it was literally driven right off the showroom floor yesterday.. thats how good of condition this baby is in, and i intend to keep it this way.

notice he mentioned so the salt won't destroy the whole lower body of the car ;)

oh yeah i can make up to 500 whp, but since the previous owner was going to get a built shortblock, he had it conservatively tuned to 19psi, then decided he wanted to sell it to me, but it CAN make way more power than what it is currently putting down, it's just on a conservative tune.

Trust me, even with the current tune, this car fucking moves.. 0 to 100 comes faster than you think..

As the car sits right now, it's about a mid to low 11 second car, a few more psi, and it's easily a mid to low 10 second car.

Awesome vehicle. If I remember correctly you had been looking for a boosted vehicle for quite some time.

if Russ gave you that much negative karma then im with him.. LOL

nice lookin subaru, i personally would lose the wing and debadge the trunk but to each their own.
NO WAI!!! these cars look sexy with the wing... they look fucking stupid without it.. the debadge maybe.

Debadge yes lose the wing NO!!! thats the trade mark ha
I agree... trademark looks hott

with a nice set of wide aftermarket wheels, a drop, and no wing, these cars are beautiful
Looking for a decent set of rims that clear the brembos so if you know of any let me know... oh NO BLACK RIMS..

beautiful sti smallville. :bigthumb: much better than your old white eclipse!
Thanks! that white eclipse was a good car.... very very solid for a 1999 (2000) but was made in august of 1999.

Nice ride, reppin perrin as well :yesway:
PERRIN FTW!! :ndance:
My g/f has his white Eclipse ...still running but will prolly sell next year.

Nice upgrade Smallville(Chris) if I remember correctly. Was that Evo 9 stock in the movie>?
that gif was actually the eclipse from the first movie.. but i added the back to the future thing in there because it was epic i thought.

Nice ride but only making 313whp on a 35R...

Kind of low isn't it... especially for that turbo.
Yes low because previous owner was going to have the shortblock built over winter but sold it to me instead.. so its just a conservative tune.. i can def turn the boooost way up... and make way more.

That's what I was thinking too- that's a hefty ass turbo. I know a lot of people running 450 whp on VERY moderately tuned 35r's. I dunno though.
yeah plus keep in mind that this is being run on a mustang dyno... they are about shit.
so its at 323, so on a dynojet its more like 385 give or take.. mustang dynos read on the lower end.

That's right... I forgot the Subaru's have pistons made from tin cans and will crack with anything more than 350whp. I know that is the case with the current STi motors when I spoke with CBRD.

I don't think there is a point to turn up the boost on a stock block... not worth the headache of going and replacing a engine. Keep low until you can afford a proper rebuild.

Only thing I hate about the large turbos and smaller motors... the lag. All DD is done in the mid-range, but turbo is made for top end power. Makes it a bit of a slug on the street. Much better for a track monster. :)

thats why she is on a conservative tune., also she doesn't lag really.. i invite you to come up and let me take ya for a ride, you'll have second thoughts! i promise.

Hey, going back to the Eclipse, was the remote starter under any warranty because inthe summer it just stopped workingso I was wondering if company might be helpful that made the kit
It was made by compustar, if it just stopped working, then the battery in the egg is dead, or the key came undone from the box that tells it that the immobilizer in the key is near the ignition. that box would be below the dash near the ECU more on the left side of the car, unplug and take that out, open it up and it's very possible the key came unlodged, it's not held in there by much. worth a shot though i suppose?

example 1, this is the fastest civic around this area anyways

video1, my car vs him
YouTube - kingsario v rrsti
i always stay within headlight view

vid 2 him racing a viper. just for sake of showing you what fast is.. then you'll see back in vid 1 where i keep up with him, and this viper does not.

A MS3 is a worthless FWD turbo car much like a NEON SRT-4... sure you can add tons of money to make it fast, but in the end you can only go fast straight on some sticky tires..

I know my EVO X will destroy my SDS Eclipse that runs 23 PSI on a Vortech V1 (from a FOX Body Cobra) blower with Meth... on any corner course. In a straight line my ECLIPSE is faster than my EVO... I have no doubt in my mind. The Eclipse I will be at 150mph in seconds... EVEN my heavily modified EVO X with a stock turbo and a nearly all the bolt on's possible will not hang with it.

But a new CBRD turbo will be going in the X in the spring to remedy this issue... along with a CNC exhaust manifold and stage 1 cams...
