No, I am talking about on Wednesday when I did the Angels Landing hike myself. You said you weren't doing this trip until December.

:squintfawk:

I only found out cause Shelly said you were in Vegas and I asked when cause I was just there as well.

i was supposed to go hiking today, but cat isnt feeling well (cold and sniffly) so we're staying in. just as well, it rained the last 2 days there so it would probably be cold/muddy. next sunday we'll probably go.

these are shots from the trail Mike and I were on. the chains were useless since they came up to my knees. and you basically had to rock climb up to the point. I laid down up there for like 15 minutes.

which area in particular? the tetons have some breathtaking landscapes, especially if you catch the sun behind them at dawn or dusk! (not the badlands but probably on your way there). i think i was at the badlands national park, we hit the RV parking area and camped there for a couple days and hiked/drove that part and then went to the wilderness area for a couple days. you had to pack in your own water since there was nothing potable out there, too many minerals.

if you can swing it, goto red rock lakes Red Rock Lakes Wilderness - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wilderness.net- Red Rock Lakes Wilderness

its soo empty and peaceful, it feels almost totally untouched. its beauty i think is in its seeming emptiness. you look out and dont see anything unless you're really looking for it.

sounds like what my father and i did when i was younger, thats how i saw all these great places. he also took me to the jungles of belize and guatemala. rick, you should make it down there. its absolutely amazing to see the mayan ruins in person, looking out from the top of one of the temples across the tree tops and seeing howler monkies, gray foxes, and all manner of birds that i'd only ever seen on TV or at the zoo was just breathtaking. its somewhere i'll have to go back to someday for sure.

analope canyon was the main thing on this trip that I wanted to see. and the odd thing was how small that area was. the part that sucked is that you need a guide to go there. there was 11 people that died there in a flash flood a few years back and ever since then they make people go on tours. surprisingly I could get those shots even with all the people there.

Yeah, I'm always the straggler on tours trying to get the shot without other people in it. I'm not so worried about hearing all the dialogue.

Nice pics!

That advertisement on the side of Luxor is ghey as hell. eh, I've always perceived that casino as "ghetto" anyway. :noplease:
Hiring Carrot Top for any reason proves their ghetto-ness.

I know where you mean. I passed that hotel on the way in I think on monday evening. I was at the bridge down nere the museum on Tuesday morning for the sunrise and then up at the middle emerald pool on Wed morning.

I took just over 1500 shots between all the places. I was sorting them as I went at nights before bed and then built the site and uploaded them Saturday night at the hotel and a little more from the airport in Phoenix.
