Ladies and gents who own a 3g, I'd like to propose an idea!
This will be for the 4g64, not the v6 however the front cross member mount and the pass side (front of engine) mounts are the same!
I spoke with Dan from Torque Solutions and he is willing to make a few prototype motor mounts for our cars. It's going to start with the front mount that is on the passengers side. We will only do one at a time.
This would take 4 to 8 weeks to make a prototype that I would test fit and after it is confirmed on being a 100% for, the first batch would consist of 50 pieces.
Why am I making this posting you ask? Well, I need 25 SOLID interested people and for the first 50 pieces after the prototype is made, price would be $71.95 each which is a absolute steal. Please let me know who would all be in, I am trying to bring more aftermarket parts into our community so we will hopefully one day have as much support as the evos.
Once enough people are interested I will contact Dan once again and he will have a link with a certain code on Torque Solutions website where you would purchase your mount. After the prototype test fitting is complete and the first batch is made you would then be shipped your first torque solutions motor mount for the 3g eclipse!
Here is why we need this. It's a 100% billet aluminum body with a polymer and polyurethane insert, it cleans up the engine bay drastically and helps eliminate wheelhop. There would be no need to cut your Factory metal sleeve out for prothane or energy suspension inserts anymore! This would be a direct bolt on and let's be honest, who doesn't want billet aluminum motor mounts?
The pic on the left is a evo 8 mount I bought, the right is our 3g mount. The evos 3 bolts are backwards of what we need and it doesn't extend out as far as we need.
