MOD 2011 is now officially set for May 21! Mitsubishi has committed to another North Texas MOD after last years success. They have also hinted at another unveiling. You'll remember last year that had 2 iMiev's available for test drives and unveiled the 2011 Outlander Sport. I'll get back with more details soon.
Seems like last year inspired them for another round! It'll be at Don Herring in Irving, Tx again.

If you plan on showing your car off, or just want general information - go to the MOD link - M.O.D.

man.. thats the weekend after the Texas Region Auto-x Divisional (May 14-15)
I might be able to go to MOD if money is right at the time. If anyone from the are would allow me to park my car for the week on their garage/driveway I'd deff be able to go =)

u

the charger threw a belt and took out the serp belt and bent one of the idle pullys for the charger, i replaced the belts and the pully and now the shop i dropped it off at told me i jumped timming and bent all my valves. i did all this damange at 2 mph while in netural rolling. i dont see how i did that. it sounded to me like the ac compressor locked up and the belt snapped. i hate the shop that i take it to but they are the only ones that i found in my town that will touch my car, everytime i go in there the prices change. i didnt have enough time to fool with it while i was home so i had it towed back to the house and covered up until i get home again. wish i could have been home for MOD

I did the AC belt on the KB's 4G64 just a couple months go. One way you know if that belt is alive is if you have power steering still. Check the A/C as well at idle. Do you hear it cycling on and off? Is it blowing cold, not cool air?

If you're timing belt jumped timing and bent the valves, it would have happened at the exact time the rest of it happened. You can also bend valves even at 2mph in neutral. As long as the engine is running. I'm not in DFW any more... but i do know other Techs in the area i worked with at Don Herring Mitsu in Irving.

My suggestion, do a compression check

Kind of sucks that the event is on may 21st. Wish it was sooner but oh well, I guess that gives me more time to work on my first turbo build :ndance:. Only need a couple of parts left to have everything. If any of you guys in the dallas area have installed a turbo in the 3G and are willing to help me with the install (oil lines, gauge electronic wiring, EVO fuel injectors, etc) I would be happy to pay ;). Better than taking it somewhere and be charged like a grand or over lol.

Too early to make plans. I gotta wait to hear from Sherri like last year. Once i get to ok from here, we should be able to fill in all the technical questions. But if you're coming from Houston, i would get in touch with Pete (G-Spot) since he came from that area last year. (He's the guy with the white galant.
