A photo and a description of the shifter (AT or MT) would help.

 

ill try,its for a mt.it is actually under not he shifter bushings,its a little white plastic piece under the transmission cable which is right next to the shifter cables

 

the white 'stand' that the shifter mounts into that bolts to the body?

 

it goes control cable,then this white thing :which bolts into the trans,it might be called a gear cone??

 

without this peice my car will not shift into any gears

fatal u are the man bro,i been looking everywhere and even read thru the manual and cant find it,i really appreciate this man,my car has been sittin gettin motor work done since February,now its all hooked up and ready to go the this piece broke

 

i wanna guess maybe its teh air breather,fatal is that correct?

 

my only other guess is the select lever shoe,can someone please take a look and see if it is a white peice of plastic on their car

disregard the part # on the diagram that is the CAPS # the model # you need to order from the dealer is

MD771824

it is also called the shoe for the manual transmission select lever
im also sure you know how it goes on but here is a diagram as well from caps showing the piece as well as where it goes
