well i just wanted to post my first tuner thanks for all the info especially the rims and clutch now i know..ill keep posting soon hope you all have a good one and for the hate well im sorry you have an automatic
And i do appologize to the rest i posted with good intensions with hopes for tips about this gen eclipse its just some people hate on a forum its just a forum and i know there opinions and i value them (some) im not gonna take some comments seriouse

I have an automatic and I don't see anything wrong with it, as a matter of fact my friend has a 5 speed 3g as well and we both have stock eclipse and we don't see a difference in speed at all, maybe a slight difference in acceleration but nothing to be proud of lol just remember you posted your car in a public forum so be prepare to take criticism.

What does you having a manual have to do anything when it's the same car? Does driving a stick make you better than him or anyone with an automatic for that matter?
i know like i said im not gonna take it seriouse hating is hating im not the first or last person to be hated and the auto i dont care what trans you got i just wanted to get back that dude lol

·Roll bar looks great and is much safer than a harness bar. As far as the harnesses/seat belt debate, just look into this. It should meet your needs well.
With those items, I'd feel safe with an aftermarket steering wheel, especially considering you can buy a resistor that will keep your passenger side airbag in perfect working order. Resistor Information

With as low as those harnesses are mounted, if you ever get into any type of wreck, you'll probably break your collar bone, and probably your neck.

I suppose it's a good thing you are putting work into your eclipse. But I feel like your view on what is safe when driving a car isn't so good. You might think it's safe while trying to make it look cool but really you are just making it worse...I can see small things here and there for safety but what you are doing isn't as safe to me. I just feel like you are BSing us here on the forum.
That aside, I give you some props for your work on the car so far. These members are here to voice their opinion over your car and the work you have done to it. I'm not quite a fan of some of the products you have put on it so far but I mean you keep doing what you like and that's what it basically boils down to.

Just went out and checked mine, 2in clearance from edge of the fender to tire, I'm running 215 r45 17s. I hope I didn't just find out I have a lowered car and didn't even realize it... :dunno:

That cage looks like it was welded with a plumbers cable.

that cage design has some flaws in it. Not sure why you welded it to the middle of the trunk instead of the strut tower. That roll bar padding wont protect you from anything it looks like that cheap 2 dollar crap thats not flame retardant and no SFI rating. Your seats are WAY too high for your harness bar. Your belts are suppose to be no less than 20* degress for mounting them. If your going to get new belts get some belts that have a rating on them. Stop buying ebay part for safety.
