I was just over on the Galant Center and one of the guys over there has the intake manifold out of a Hyundai XG350 on his 6G72. The manifold is equal length and bolts on with very little modifications he said. If we can find them, this may be a cheaper alternative to the Diamonte/GTS manis that are so hard to find for a good price.

Oh yea!!!! Those are a little expenive though. I seem to remember RPW saying that they were testing the Apline rootscharger on our cars for data to produce their own roots style charger. All these similaritys make me wonder if the DOHC heads from a Tibby will fit our cars. If there is enough room in the engine bay and the pistons are the same diameter? Who knows!

I've been wondering something like that for the last couple days. Not the tib head but the XG300. Honestly, I can't quite follow these hyundai engines. It seems to me that they had/have a 3.0 engine that is based on the 6g72 and DOHC, yet, they make lower power... Rumor says that the XG350 (6GCU sigma 3.5) engine shares the bottom with the 6g74, but has a different head. But the mani fits again.

I wonder about the sigma 3.0 DOHC engine (6GCT) in the XG300 (192hp) and the almost same engine in the Equus (203hp).

And I still can't find info on that the delta 2.7 in the tib in fact would be a destroked 6g72. (Could someone point me in the right dirction?)

This is what I would love to see someone to try (somebody with boost maybe? :fever: ):

as I said over there, I'm poor but curious lol

It's the NGM stage 4 mani for the tib. more info:

For the cost of the stage IV, you could get the better of the two RPW manifolds (the one with internal ram tubes, as they call them), and it's already known that they fit our cars (the cheaper of the two is probably comparable to these stage IV ones). The design is slightly different between the two though - I'm not sure whether the wedge shaped plenum chamber (of the NXT gen one) or the closer-to-stock shaped one (of RPW) would lend itself to better gains. I wish there were actual dyno results from the RPW one like there are for the NXT one.

from what i can tell and read form both RPW and the NXT manifolds. RPW is using the stock runners with a new plenum with the internal valasity stacks or ram tubes what ever you want to call them and the stage IV NXT manifolds are a complete sheet metal intake manifold as in the runners are mandrel bent aluminum with a sheet metal plenum. Looks to me that NXT is getting the better half here then RPW is. NXT is what im looking for a full sheet metal intake manifold.
