FS: June 2007 COTM - Guy's 2003 GT 11K miles $9500

Update - Car is not for sale at this time.

Over $35,000 invested, including the initial cost of the car (I'm the original owner). I'm asking $9,500 or better offer. No trades, sorry.

This was originally envisioned as a turbo project, and would be the ultimate starting point for someone who is so inclined to finish it. Parts and mods...

Intake/Engine/Exhaust:
Injen RD/K&N hybrid WAI
ported & polished heads
RPW stage I turbo cams
Cometic .040" MLS head gaskets
CP 8.8:1 forged pistons (1mm overbore)
shot-peened stock rods
ARP rod bolts & main studs
ACL bearings
entire bottom end balanced and engine build by LAM Engines (Kenosha, WI)
Invidia N1 cat-back exhaust
Deyeme Racing firm F & R and flex side motor mounts
black silicone engine hoses
B&M oil cooler custom-mounted behind driver's side front "vents"
B&M power steering cooler custom-mounted behind passenger's side front "vents"

Drivetrain:
all 5 gearsets and input & output shafts cryogenically tempered by 300 Below (Decatur, IL)
Unorthodox Racing 9.5lb flywheel
Clutch Masters FX300 clutch
Quaife LSD
- tranny assembled by GT Transmissions (Racine, WI)
stock shifter w/ Energy Suspension shifter base bushings

Suspension:
Megan Racing street series coilovers with 8 kg/mm springs front & 6 kg/mm rear
RMDSM 24mm rear sway bar

Brakes:
Power Slot Plus big rotor kit
Hawk HPS brake pads
stainless steel braided brake lines (from RRE)
painted stock calipers & torque mounts (black)

Wheels/tires:
car will have 17" oem Enkeis from a 2005 GTS w/ BFG Traction T/A tires

Exterior:
Shine Street 4-pc aero kit (moulded to body)
Philips 4300K HID headlights
SilverStar fog light bulbs
euro-clear front corners w/ stealth bulbs
Grillcraft black 5-pc grill kit with vents cut out
debadged V6 emblem
35% side & rear window tint
Mitsu aluminum fuel filler door
diamond-clear rear corners w/ LED marker bulbs
clear 3rd brake light w/ LED bulb
JVD Graphics metallic gunmetal rear bumper inserts

Interior:
GReddy oil pressure gauge
RAZO Ti/mesh gas, brake, and clutch pedals

Check the pictures below for current mileage (just over 11K); there is currently less than 2300 miles on the engine after it was modded and dropped back in. The balanced bottom end combined with the lightened flywheel makes for quick rev-up and the powerband is very linear. I never had it dyno'd but real potential lies in the FI-ready engine mods; right now I would say it's only slightly stronger than your basic intake/exhaust mod. The front lip has some paint peels in it and the front bumper cover has some rock dings; also the passenger-side skirt's moulding has cracked right behind the front fender... the pics show the story, please look carefully.

I can take specific pictures for interested parties. The interior has the usual dings for roughly a year of daily use, but is pretty much immaculate otherwise. No smoking of any type was ever done in the car.

Please direct inquiries to my PM or e-mail me directly at geriksn@hotmail.com. I live in SE Wisconsin for those that want a personal look or a test ride.

Thanks for looking. IMHO, this is a pretty good deal. The suspension is fully adjustable, so daily driving is no problem, but can be dialed in for very capable handling. The ecu hasn't been touched, and I would venture to say even minor tweaking would improve the current NA set-up, but like I said earlier, the motor was built for FI, and will support up to 500 hp based on my research here on the boards. The tranny mods should handle that amount as well.

Some related links with more, albeit older, pics are below.

The plan is to move on to AWD or RWD.

Yes, if you're interested in buying.

Guy, sad to see your getting rid of your car. Any plans for the future? If you want to get rid of your stock hood let me know.
If there's no interest, it's a possibility. I have a box for shipping, the one the c/f hood came in.

Guy, I sure hope you will be sticking around the boards.
Of course; I've made some great friends here. I don't know how much luck I'll have posting a 3G for sale on a car club website for people that are primarily already 3G owners :dunno: So wish me luck.

I definitely wish you luck. I would also post on cars.com, autotrader, craigslist, and modifiedcartrader.com as well. Although you never know who will want to skip all of the legwork of building their engine for boost. You basically have the perfect platform for someone to just build onto with FI. Good luck, Guy.

Bump for a great guy (no pun intended) and an awsome machine. Guy you are going to make someone a very lucky individual because that is a hell of a deal!

Posted WTT thread here for the Powerslot kit in exchange for some stock wheels. If this happens I will of course adjust the selling price accordingly for the stock rotors & wheels.

#15 ·
I prefer to think I "spared no expense" to do it right. And you're right, no one would be able to duplicate this package for this price.

I realize wheels are very much a subjective taste, so I will be swapping the Volks with stock 17"s and adjusting the selling price.

Unless someone wants the Volks...

#18 ·
You would think so, but case in point: Look at all the offers to buy it so far :( Granted I've only posted it here on the boards; it will go up on cars.com etc eventually. I'm currently in the process of sourcing stock wheels and brake rotors for it, which will reduce the price even further. I will probably remove the rear strut bar and harnesses to sell separately as well.

I consider it a lesson learned when it comes to modifying cars; it's a labor of love but also a bad investment. The market for this car is not good, and I will lose my a$$ on it.

Like I said in the first post, the eventual plan is to move on to AWD or RWD. Won't be right away though... unless I have the winning lottery ticket.

Updated original post to reflect how car is now being offered for sale. I will get new pics asap when I get my hands on the stock wheels that are going on the car.

The hood, harnesses, and rear strut tower bar are now for sale separately; post to come. The Volks are available for sale; PM me with serious offers only.

Did you have this car in at Porcaro's a few times? Looks like the same car and wow was that thing immaculate, I worked on it with Corey. Cleanest 3g I have ever seen in person, hands down. Glad to see you got a sale.

Yep he did. I believe it's also where he picked up the car. I know they pulled the motor out for him as well. You'll have to swing by some of our meets.

Yep, bought the car at Porcaros and like Nick said, Corey pulled and then replaced the motor after the engine work at LAM. Thanks for the compliments. The car is still in my garage, my buyer ran into some issues that hopefully just delayed the sale.
