by editing magic. (and by suggestion of another member. These go for over $300 new, and this only has maybe 20-24hrs of usage.)

The laser is bad. Meaning it can't read discs, but it's a "simple" fix. I'm moving and between moving expenses and not having the time, I'd rather just unload it. I think the 60gig one is backwards compatible... not sure about this one, never tried.

 

Do you have any ps3 games or controllers?

 

I've got the controller it came with, no games... sold 'em all.

Yeah it's in perfect shape (besides the laser). I calculated the shipping cost to your zip and UPS says $17.41 (the ps3 is 11lb's). Let me know...

I'd link it for you right now, but anything video game related is blocked at my work. Just google "PS3 laser." I've seen them for as low as $31 to about $80.

 

is it the board or is it the laser lens? i did some googling and seems both can be the culprit, the board is easy to replace...the laser is...like brain surgery :lol:

 

most people just do the board and be done with it.

 

my googling turned up both being common:happysad: i was thinking of getting it as a x-mas gift for the woman if its an easy fix. i'll do some more searching and figure out if theres a test or something for it to see which it is.

 

There are some you tube vids that show the process... I would do it if I didn't have so much crap going on (and I wasn't being lazy).

I forget. Both came out around the same time. Is prestige the magic movie dealing with tesla and cloning, or the one where they fake the killing of the higher ups guys wife and frame him for it(if that makes any sense)
