Seems kinda cool. I like those better than the lambo doors. Everybody with a show car is buyin the lambo doors. But id only buy that if i were building my car up for show. Imo its kind of a waste of money if you just slap it on your basically stock looking eclipse.

 

I like the way more doors open. :dunno: Making them open a different way seems weird as hell to me. I don't know why people spend thousands on something so retarded.

theyre not, theres no structure to the roof. infact i doubt they could pull it off, make it look stock, and have it last for more than a year of daily use.

Ive seen some people on here with vertical door kits on their car I thought someone would know about these as well.

 

Unless it's hinged to support the door like that I'd think that the lambo style would be the only way to keep the stock body, unless you wanted some sort of support plate welded somewhere. While I like to stand out and have everybody look at the car, this is somewhat rediculous. I see people asking about doors, rhd, jdm motor import swaps, etc etc, yet still people don't seem to understand that all of the BEST looking 3g's here all carry a clean/sleek look, not a flashy "tuner" look. To each his own

 

I dont want a tuner or rice look. Besides I think I like that kit better than the lambo because with the lambo doors you have to still open them normally then lift up. Too much work just to get in and out.

If you would actually look at the website, you would realize that they aren't actually "gullwing" doors.

 

we did one set on a s2000 at the shop where i work at... yeah looked kinda nice but i don't need to tell you guys how big of a pain in the ass it was to get the kit lined up and working properly. it was our first and last install of those door kits, too much work for not enough money and appearance.

 

What were some of the major problems with installing them?

 

not major problems, just a lot of "fitting". mostly rolling fenders and getting the correct tilt on them so that they line up exactly with the other side.

I was considering the dual setup to open the door normally and virtically.

 

How would you get out of the car in a parking lot? I mean you'd have to park at the very back where there arent any cars beside you to even get out

 

dude dont buy them.... i got them and they are a total pain in the ass... they are a bitch to install and they work like crap.. door does not seal right

best way to go, it flows with body lines and looks very good. I had these on my 3g but sold them to Kidney Bean
