just for the record if you decide to speed slamming the brakes while driving on ice , water, snow = bad idea ... you have to decrease the speed slower then that to maintain in control. but seriously glad to see your still alive .. good luck man.

Fist off. He has a GTS Spyder. And totals that car. There are many people on this forum that would love just to have a GT. And after you total it, you are going to see if your parents are going to buy you a Z? Man, you couldn't control and FWD car, what makes you think you can control a RWD with much more power? Another thing, how in the world will you be able to get insurance on that? You are 17, just totaled a car, and now you want a RWD 2 seater sports car. You got some lucky parents. well hes from paramus, jersey! im pretty sure his parents can afford to buy him a Z now that he totalled the GTS.

 

depends on how much frame damage. my frame was bent in a accident where a F150 hit me. They fixed, shoulda totalled it, but insurance figured it was better to spend 11g on fixing the car.

 

Well actually i have seen worse damage done to one of the Eclipse's around where i live and the insurance company fixed it. How do i know this, i work at the body shop that fixed it. We had to str8t'n out the driver framehorn, put new radiator support on, a complete front end and back bumper on the car.
Not to mention all the paint work.
So they may try to fix it....Oh and the Eclipse was a 02 GT premium

And who is to say that people under 18 cant drive? Im 19 and the only wreck i have had was my 3g, But ihad many sports car before this one that was more powerful than the 3g and i done just fine. Not ever teen is unresponsible.
