Hi all, I've encountered a problem and tried to search for the fix but I'm stuck. The car is a 2000 eclipse gs. The only mods on it are headers and a tsudo exhaust. I'm not sure of the brand of headers, my brother put them on when he owned it.
Anyways to the problem~ about 3 or so months ago my car was driving fine and the ses came on, got it checked out and it was p0505. At that point I didn't notice and out of the ordinary idling, it idled around 750. So I searched and decided to check the iac first, it was slightly dirty so I cleaned it and popped it back in. At first it idled pretty crazy but eventually settled down to about 900 and the ses light came on again. About 100-150 miles later, nothing chaned and the light was still on so I took it out again and cleaned the throttle body. Threw it back in and now the idle is even crazier and the ses is still on
From a cold start it sits at 1500 and drops to 900 when it's warm, I can rev and it'll go back to 900, but when I start driving the idle will raise to 1500. From there it will sometimes drop from 1500 to 900 and back up when I'm going slow in neutral or have the clutch pressed in. Also when I turn the AC on, the rpms drop to about 500-600.
Im pretty clueless on where to go from here, I did however get a new gasket for the tb since I was unable to replace the old one, and will be putting it on tonight. So anyone got any ideas? x.x
