next month im looking to put in new shocks along with springs. im going for 2inches. ive looked at numerous pics with drops using springs with drops ranging from 1.25-2". clearance looks fine, but has anyone needed to roll the fenders?

if no thats good, but im looking to go wide also. either wider tires or wheel spacers. clearance looks like no problem, but worried i might rub a bit on a bounce or bump. do yo think ill run into some rubing if i go a tad wide?

I know rolling fenders are popular with the Evos but have never heard them with a 3G yet.

When a +35 offset typically takes you flush to the fender, how much more agressive do you want?
it'd be nice when people learn that offset alone doesn't mean jack. 17x9 +35 is flush in the rear. anything else is not...and certainly not aggressive.

to the rest of the world...if you don't have to roll your fenders, you aren't flush.

At the moment i am running the O.Z. 18X8 with +35 offset. I noticed i was rubbing the rear fender last season. I have been calling around to shops the last few days and most dont want to roll my fenders. They dont want to have me come back later with chipping paint and wanting them to fix it. I did in fact find one place that will do it only if i sign a waiver saying i wont come back once the paint chips. I think i might be one of the few that will have this done on the 3G platform.

More than a few people have rolled their fenders on SoCal3g. In fact, we actually have an aluminum bat that gets rotated around the club specifically for those who need to roll their fenders.
You use a bat, instead of the deal that clamps on the side?

ima drop it and see how it is from there. ill prolly end up rolling them anyways as a precaution for going wide.

id still like to see if anyone rubbed.

I believe Clipse3GT is talking about rolling his fenders. If you roll them a little at a time with a poly ball you shouldnt crack the paint. There is a kit out there that bolts onto your wheel hub.

the kit is really pricey, and i wouldnt recommend using a bat unless you know what your doing. the method we used on my friends jetta was we took an aluminum bat and put it at an angle between the tire and inner fender then had him slowly back up and then slowly go forward rolling the bat over the inner fender and the pressure from the tire just did all the work. Came out good, but its not the easiest thing to do

the rear is a no brainer, im gonna need to roll it. im more concerned for the front. i feel like rolling the front wont make a difference.
