I searched and didn't find anything on this subject, so I appologize up front if it has been beaten to death.
Did the 3G ever come in a right-hand drive version (for Japan, United Kingdom, etc.)? By the layout of the dash, it looks like it would be easy enough to swap the "pods" over, but you'd still need a RHD steering rack, brake setup, etc.
The reason why I'm asking is that I'll be moving to the United Kingdom in just under a year and it would certainly make it easier to drive over there. Not to mention, I think it would be pretty sick to have a RHD Eclipse. If they were never produced this way, does anyone know if parts such as the steerin rack, brake booster/master cylinder, etc. from any other Mitsubishi cars will bolt up? I'd be interested in spending some time with fabricating mounts and such if I could get the core parts needed for a swap.
Any input you have on the feasibility of this, please add your comments...anyone who just thinks this is a stupid idea, please save your comments for another thread.
Thanks!
