Search around some, there's been a few threads on this already. Just avoid ebay brands get something DOT compliant. I believe the seats from some years of Lancer fit with out modification.

 

I heard the EVO 8 seats are plug and play.

New to the forums but I've spent countless hours here looking at members' rides and shit.

Was wondering if anyone has tried to put the 2012 GTI seats in?
My old ride was a GTI and I loved those seats. .

As mentioned, they are not and take some fabrication if you want to make them fit and retain their full functionality. (Information here and here.)

If you are making your own brackets please over engineer them. Seats are a key component in keeping you safe at the worst possible instance. I personally had a shop do them that builds drag cars in the sub-10 range and knows what they are doing when it comes to safety.

 

They, obviously, would not be plug and play. You, again obviously, have to have custom brackets made and who knows about if the seat sensors would work with the Eclipse Airbag system.

 

Gah I'll just keep using search I guess. I just want a comfortable, racing seat. fairly easy to install. With the saftey harness.

 

Sit in a bunch, buy what you like, mod it to fit. You can make your own brackets fairly cheap, steel stock is cheap. Just mount the sliders and then the seat. Cake

i got some otto-r seats off ebay, they are cheap and comfortable and have held up amazing over the last 2 years, i have zero signs of wear, and they are reclinable

I have never personally installed them or sat in them but some friends of mine highly recommend Corbeau racing seats. They have a great selection of seats and you also have the option to get them to install heated seats and/or lumbar support. There is multiple fabric and color options as well, another plus is Corbeau actually makes brackets for the seats that are specific to the 3G. With that said I would assume its all bolt on and no custom work needs to be done, But like I said I have never installed them so I am not 100% sure on that.

Heard the same thing from a few people. I'm personally looking into evo seat.

 

why dont you just re-do your seats to what you like? if money isnt an option that wway you dont have to mess with seat brackets or anything.
