Loudest 3G/8G/2G Evar!

Stock cali spec manifolds, my 2 to 1 downpipe and a 3" Apexi N1 catback w/ no resonators and only a straight through can muffler.

Honestly, it's WAY too loud for my liking but it sure as hell scares the natives!

Man slow that shit down, you're setting the car alarms off on my block!

ok, ill play along. do you have a need for added oil pressure or oil placement? hmmm no? then stick with what it was designed for. done.
 My man BJ! :yesway:

Since were on the subject of TB's. How much could you bore out the 74 TB? And is there enough material on the 75 manifold to match that?
I don't know about how much could you bore out the 74 TB but I can tell you there is no need to do it. The 74 TB is 65mm and a stock EVO TB is 60mm. I'm using the 74 TB and you already know the power numbers I plan to be putting down and there are EVO's making well over 600whp using their stock 60mm. If the 65mm 74 TB is good enough for my engine and EVO's are making over 600whp with their stock 60mm TB then the 65mm 74 TB is definitely good enough for your 75 build.

More proof that the 75 non mivec is the best option for people:

Base numbers are the most recent tune. There is still some room to go on BJ's car as there is no knock so we can still bump up timing.
This car is an animal. Pulls hard all the way through 120. I've hit the rev limiter numerous times because it spins up so fast. Cruising at 40 in 2nd and going WOT results in complete and utter loss of traction.

Weight differences in the above comparison is due to me having Finesse in the car with me on the comparison pull.
Saying the car is an animal almost doesn't do it justice. While I was in the car with you I had to hold on to the door panel handle while you were driving. If we just hadn't put my GSX back together at the shop last night so I could monitor the coolant temps I would've tried to give you a little competition on the way back to your house.:D

But really for the people who are thinking about a motor swap Pharm is 100% right about the non-MIVEC 3.8 being the best option for a motor swap. That riding experience opened my eyes up. The power from that motor is definitely worth the extra time, money and work to have.

The Mishimoto Radiator cost as much as my engine tho. I think I will stick with my factory one for now and monitor the temps. Beside the snow will be here soon. I may just put my car away for the winter and drive my Jeep anyways. Maybe I can find a used one over winter.
Didn't you get your engine for stupid cheap, so what did you expect the radiator the cost? 212 degrees fahrenheit boils water and your coolant temp is at 210? There's no way I'd be pushing my motor as hard as you do yours, I would drive it only on short trips if that much.

I guess some of us have more guts than others to try something new :)lol:?) I understand what your saying Finess. I was just trying to point out that I used the same process and parts that would be used in a 3g. In fact it was prolly an easier swap after reading the 3.5 thread and then Daves 3.8 thread. Then I wrote my very simple how too that states the process in order and what parts to use or modify.
It's cool, we've got a good understanding. I know you were joking but I wouldn't say some people have more guts than others it's just the others from my understanding can't afford and haven't the ability to do the swap. You know I'd of been had the 6G75 MIVEC in there but 2 things made me decide to wait: Pharm hasn't worked the kinks out yet and lack of aftermarket support. In hindsight maybe I should've gotten a 6G75 MIVEC when Pharm did, it's not like I'm driving my 3G anyway. I've gotten other toys to play with since then.

The only thing different between the 3g eclipse and the 2g stratus coupes is the wheelbase and outer sheet metal. The engine compartment components are completely identical except for the shape of the core support. Same radiators, Transmissions, Engines, mounts, suspension, steering, etc. I mean they rolled out of the same plant in Holland, IL (?)
That's all well and good. No argument from me there. I'm just answering his question literally. He is asking a lot of questions here and he and I also chat privately so I think I know what he is looking for. He does have a 3G after all, not a Dodge. Knowing that silverside actually showed us (3G owners and Dodge owners) the way is golden. Interestingly enough is the fact no other 3G has done it since.

Ahhh right right. I forget that not everyone here is pure.
 Yes sir! MitsubishiOwn has been asking a few questions lately regarding engine swaps so I wanted to answer his question literally in case he decides to do a 6G75 swap. It's always a relief to see something done in the same car that you own instead of in a car that is very similar to what you may own. Either way it's been proven to work.

A couple have done the nonmivec.
In a 3G? Are you sure? There are some Dodge's with the 6G75 non-mivec. Unless I missed it no other 3G has any version of the 6G75.

Lemme rephrase... For the non mivec version. I haven't had the time to touch my car, customers almost always come first (95% of the time... heh). :(

Thank God I finally hired a full time employee I can trust. I'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel!
Sounds like you hired some good help, hopefully I'll be meeting him in the near future. If you're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel then that means good things.;)

The good thing is that when I'm done, I'll have a very very nice base map for the 75 swap + the additional things that should be on there for this swap. uNF.
And that's when I'll SERIOUSLY start preparing to do a 3.8L MIVEC swap. :D

I needed to get the car going so I can travel to and from school. Besides, who needs top end? This thing pulls hard from the feather touch of the gas pedal. I have the 75 intake but I need to do some modding on it first.
My 3.8 swap link
I clearly understand you had to get the car going so you did what you had to do. I do agree with chavez's post though. Right now it may seem unimportant but later on you mine as well tap into all the performance this motor has to offer by upgrading the upper plenum. After all that's why you did the swap.

mine is up and running! what an animal! my sticky 235's don't stand a chance. i haven't even done any tunning yet other than changing the injector scaling. here are some more pictures.
all planted with 3.0 valve covers and intake.

Had to grind the axle pad like one would do on a 74 swap.
Congrats!

yeah and mine will be running today. mine is dropped in the hole and bolted up. i have the air intake, battery, belts, exhaust, fluids, hood, and some tuning to do today.
Good work!! :yesway::yesway:

Hmmmm, looks like it's time to up the ante.

 VERY NICE!

What's going on with that EVO in the background? :ninja2:

Are you saying that the 3.8L non-mivec plenum won't work with mivec heads then?
No man, he's not saying that. In fact just the opposite. If you've been following the thread Pharm has the 3.8L MIVEC. He said earlier that he now knows what manifold he needs now to put together his old fuel setup implying it could be the non-MIVEC plenum.
