I'll add more pics and information as I go, but I figured I'd poke my head in and share.
I ordered some go-faster mods for the GTO. I ordered an ATI Procharger D1SC w/ a 4.00" pulley; people I've spoken with regarding the 4.00" pulley have thrown down anywhere between 8 and 12psi on the stock bottom end. With my altitude and supporting mods, I'm just hoping for/expecting 8psi and perhaps mid-500s to the wheels (corrected). Supporting mods are longtube headers, upgraded fuel system, and a 224/228 .566/.571 cam. Plus, of course, the requisite camshaft install goodies like dual valvesprings, etc.
Parts are on the way and today was gorgeous in Colorado, so I tore into the car in preparation.
2:30, the car went into the air.
Three hours later, the garage looked like this:
Lots of new parts going in - suspension goodies, too. I had a headstart when I swapped over the Konis and Eibachs from the '04, but I didn't transfer any of the polyurethane bushings I'd installed on the '04. Over the months since I bought the '05, I've been accumulating the bushings that I felt were critical for helping the handling of this 3800lb. behemoth; they've been sitting on my shelf since then, waiting to be installed. I also added an item to the pile that I always felt was missing from the '04; a set of beefy Hotchkis swaybars and heavy duty endlinks. :ndance:
Theoretically, the blower and cam package should be arriving sometime this week, so I should have more progress pics next weekend. I'll post 'em up when I've got 'em.
Cheers.
