18x7.5

Would they fit on a 2001 RS? And if so would I need spacers or something if I went with a 225/40/18? Cause the guy I'm buying them from seems to think it would be fine if I just threw them on w/out any spacers or any thing, not trying to be a noob but I'm just not sure cause I think they look good and all but don't wanna go killing myself of someone else behind some rims. The only reason I ask about the spacers is because on the chrome rims  I had on there they used spacers and the where 18's as well. Please help, I'm looking to buy the rims and tires in the morning, thanks in advance. :)

Price is $250 for the set because all the tires need to be replaced. Or should I just spend the money and buy new, all comments welcome pls and thank you.

Question about wheel fitment. I have 18 x 8.5 +38s that came off my evo...curious about fitment with wide (different manufactureres make wider tread width than others) 225s or 235s on prokit springs. I have seen where at least one member has similar set up and gotten them to work.

Opinions?

99% of the time an 18" wheel fits the eclipse just fine, unless it is really wide. Do you have better specs? like how wide the wheel is, what offset?

225/40/18 work almost always, but the specs above are needed to be certain

18"x 8.5", comes in offsets: 20, 32, 35, 38, 45.
planning to go with 225/40/18 tires

Which offset would look/fit best on this setup? I'm currently leaning on 32.

would I have any issues with the 8.5" width? only width choice on my desired wheel.

+32 is what i would use.

it'll be flush with the rear fenders. the front will stick out past the fender, but will still be flush with the side of the car...this is because the nose of the 3g isn't as wide as the rest of the car.

imo, it's not a bad look. if you don't like it, roll the front fenders. problem solved.

if you go with +32, may i suggest NOT using a 225 tire. 255 will look much better and fit square on the wheel. it won't rub.

Ok so I saw some Motegis I liked, but they are a 19 inch wheel. Offset is 30 and its 9 inches wide.. not gonna work right?

The reason I asked is because I can only find them in a 17 and a 19.. and I dont really want a 17.
Thanks.

EDIT: Also lowered.
motegi makes a 9 inch wheel?

what model is it?

I have the motegi's on my 01, and they fit fine!! My tire size is 225/25/17 so you should be fine!! I also role on nankangs!! Cheap but good all year around, even snow :) buy from discount tire and get the replacement coverage! It will do you good if you hit a pot whole!!!!!

I've found a set of wheels that im am actually going to purchase this time. They are 18x8+35 up front and 18x9+41 in the rear. Now I believe they should fit with know problem the only thing that has me worried is that in order for them to fit a 08 civic si coupe they needed a 3mm spacer for the 18x9+41 wheels in the rear. The reason for the spacer was so that it would rub up against the suspension. As far as I know looking at wheels on the civic forum there offset are very similar to what we run over here between 35+ to +42. Any suggestions?

hey guys i have a gts i will be running 225/35/19 tires. rims r 19x8.5 if i get 38 offset n probably 19x8 with the 45 offset. i plan on running s techs. do u think i will rub. thanks 4 help.
I have 225/35/19 on a 19x7.5 and I rub, so Ya.

I have 18 x 8.5 +38 off my other car and they stuck out about 1/2 inch in the front (~12mm) which looked a little goofy...but was flush in the back though.

I ended up going with 17 x 8 + 40 with a 3mm spacer to clear the brakes making it +37 and with -1.3 camber in the front and -0.5 in the back that with 235 tires makes it flush in the front and close in the back. This set up is about 8 mm or around 1/3 of an inch more in board than 18 x 8.5 + 35.

Ok, quick question. I am doing autox recently. Can I run 225/50/16 on stock gs wheel? I have Koni+KYB/Tein s tech setup? How about RPF1 16x7+43? I want to be able to run in DSP so larger wheel is not the opinion.
Thanks.
